Hi Ladies and Gentlemen,
Long time no posting here. I hope this post finds all of you happy and healthy. I think about all of you guys a lot. I lurk……..
Happy belated birthdays and anniversaries.....congrats on the new disbabies.....
It's very hard to keep up so just know I am thinking about my Illinois/Indiana(and other) buddies!
Glad some of you had some great trips. I always love WDW for Halloween.
Well, my trip is coming around the bend. Love the pix I got to see.
Life is crazy like you all know. Everything is great for the most part and I hope you guys are all doing well too.

Morning... this is my last day at the office for a week....YEAH!! I will be working really hard at the user confernce in the store and the demo room and client meetings but it is sooooo worth it for a free airfare to WDW>> I am getting very excited.....I have never seen WDW decorated for Halloween.. The kids teachers are talking about striking.. so I told DH to send them down as I have a room and they have APs.. but DH checked airfare and it is $$$$$$$$.. so they will stay home and I am solo.. Really looking forward to it...Meeting my cousins, some DISers so it should be fun..

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone is well and just busy.

Alex still hasn't decided if he is trick or treating this year. I'm hoping to stay at home and hand out candy. I never get to see the little kids since we are always walking out.

Nothing new here, just the usual busyness. Looks like this weekend should have some good weather. I was hoping to go to the pumpkin farm but today might be out.

Tonight I go to a Tastefully simple party

Good Morning everyone!

It's been crazy busy around here but will get worse for the next couple months.

Yesterday was try-outs for Cheerleading at school for DD. She made the squad -- well, actually, we aren't 100% sure but they basically said everyone who tried out made the squad. We left before they posted the results because we had to get to the library before they closed to get the HSM2 CD DD had on hold. She had originally wanted to wait until they posted the results.

The first practice is Monday and then things will get busy, busy, busy! I just realized that DS-7 has a Cub Scout meeting on Monday that starts at the exact same time that DD gets out of practice, so am trying to figure who to coordinate that one as I think it's a day DH gets home late so I don't think I can count on him to drive to either.

She has gymnastics today and then off to church so she can try-out for the Christmas play.

I have finished DS-10 Halloween costume and am working on DD's right now, I'm hoping to complete it today so that then I can adjust it because I know it won't fit right and I'll have to tweak it. I'm already going to have to do some adjustments as I didn't quite follow directions 100% for the bottom since I figured it would be too long if I did & that was a waste of fabric. Well...true it would have been too long if I had followed directions exactly but now part of it is shorter than DD wants, so I'm going to have to add something to the bottom on the sides but I'll figure it out. I do keep telling her it doesn't even matter because she'll probably end up with a winter coat over the thing anyway and no one is going to see the costume anyway.

Mac, have fun at Fright Fest.
Becky, what did you sew this year? Post a picture so we can all admire your handiwork. sure wish I could be handy at something. Congrats to your DD on making it for cheerleading this year.
geffric, have a great time at WDW. My absolute favorite trip was when we went over Halloween in 2004. There were pumpkin carving contests going on. Trick or Treating at DTD (although that place was loaded with people that night.) It was neat to be there for the actual holiday. Plus, we were at the AKL and that is still my favorite resort.
Bunchkin, what are you up to this weekend?
We are doing our town's T/T trail today through the Park District. Thinking about taking the kids to Bourbonnais this evening if the weather turns nice. They do a Legend of Sleepy Hallow by Campfires. Several stopping spots in front of a campfire to listen to dif. parts of the story. Then you can hear the HH riding off in the distance. They give out treat bags and have crafts for the kids. We'll see what the weather does. Tomorrow is Boo at the Zoo. Anyone care to join us?
Looks like Halloween weather should be great this year!!!
Well, I'd better run. I still need to find DD pompoms for her cheerleading outfit.
DMM what are the kids for your TT this year? New baby going as anything?
Hersey, I remember being older and the big debate of do I or don't I TT. Usually our desire for junk food won out, and we would dress up as a bunch of HOBOS and hit a few of the "good" houses for whole candy bars.
Debbie, welcome back. Don't be such a stranger.
bigben, tell her Merry Christmas and soon enough the opportunity to take off and cruise will not be an option. Once kids get older, too hard to take them out of school and too hard to get people willing to keep them and run them around to their 1,000 activities!!! Then you'll just be dreaming about the good old days of vacationing at will!!
Better run. Need to shower and go find those pompoms.

Mac...my son just took off with a friend of his to go to Fright Fest...hope you have a good time there!

Hersey...I love handing out candy on Halloween when the kids come by..it's fun to see what costumes they have.

DMM...glad to hear everyone is okay.

This past week Mark's sister got some good news (and she got it on her birthday, what a great present!). She found out that she doesn't have to have radiation, after all, so things are looking up for her! Thanks again for all of your thoughts and prayers...prayer *does* change things!

I've still been really busy!


Didn't have the garage sale this weekend. Hunter has been sick and home from school on Thurs and Fri, so it set me back on setting things up for the sale. So we will probably have one this coming weekend.


Sam I know you'll be going on your cruise next weekend, but you could come over for an early sneek peek at the sale goods on Thursday if you want to.

Honey........I'm home!!!!!


We got in today at around 3pm, and I've been unpacking and doing laundry ever since
Vacation is definitly over!!!


We had a wonderful time on this cruise, and I'll go into details later.
We had a rough time on Wednesday and Thursday - there were strong winds, and strong waves. Needless to say, I became very very seasick on Thursday Thank goodness for the kids clubs, so they could have the kids while I stayed in bed all afternoon (I was very very green if you know what I mean). I managed to get myself up and ready for dinner (semi-formal night), but I didn't eat much - just crackers and gingerale (and it was lobster night ). Thank goodness the winds settled down, and so did my stomach, and I felt better the next day for Castaway Cay


Well, I'm off to catch up on the TV shows I missed

Everyone have a great Halloween and week.. I have organized things and will just throw them in the suitcase thomorrow am. I was supposed to spend all day Friday with my cousins and then have dinner at their house on Friday.. but I spoke with my cousin today and they are scaling back plans to only lunch on Friday.. so I got tickets for MNSSHP for Friday night..WOO HOO I have never been .. so I am looking forward to it.. and the F&W.. but first I have a lot of work stuff to do Sunay- Wednesday.. I"m sorry I have't had time to catch up on what I missed - I haven't had time yet, but I will soon. Kevin is currently downloading all our pictures, and then he's going to put them on a disc. After he does that, I'll post some pictures for you all to see. I gearing up for a really busy week at work, because I have a sale going on this week, and I advertised it 4 times in the paper. The Saturday I was gone, we were really busy, and I need to catch up on all that too - lots and lots to do!!!!

It felt so good to sleep in my own bed, and now I'm going to go take a shower in my own shower - I love my shower!!! My mom and dad are coming over in a couple of hours, so I need to get ready for that, plus I have a lot more to do. It's going to be a busy day!!!!

I gotta run, and I'll try to catch up on what I missed soon
