Crissup- Happy Birthday!! :bday: :cake: :dance3:

Slo, SamIAm, Tiggerrn, Bunchkin, and anyone else that went- how was MTR?
Was it as good as you were hoping it would be? How did all the kids like the movie? Did all of you sit together? Just want a brief update on how the mini movie meet went :) popcorn::

See you all later.

this is your day!!

it's pouring rain and lightening where i am.
is it like that for you?

When I woke up this morning, the roads were wet, but drying, so I knew that it had rained earlier. Then, I spoke with my brother around 2:30 and he told me it was lightning and thunder down in Ottawa. Around 3pm here, we got a couple thunderboomers, and it drizzled for about 45 minutes. Now, it's just grey and cloudy out, but no rain.

Hi all!!!!

Meet the Robinsons was VERY good, IMO!!! I know a lot of people gave it bad reviews for one thing or another.
But I think the entire group of us liked it. I know my kids and I did!!
Lots of funny parts, a couple sad ones, all good family humor!!
There was a Chip & Dale 1953 3-D movie in the beginning and it was great!
We have it on a dvd but of course not 3-D! ;)
I thought the story line was great too.
Lots of nods to the WDW park in it too!! Very cool!! :teeth:

And we did all get to sit together, which was a miracle since the theatre was packed and people were turned away or had to wait till the next show!

Hunter is splashing away in a bubble bath right now. He's right across the hall from me. I'm giving him his "privacy", as he requested! :rotfl:

Pulling up to our subdivision this evening, we could see a ton of police cars just passed the entrance. After making the turn in, we got a better view of what was going on. There is a turned over car off the road and near the backyards of some of the houses!!!!
Lots of people came out to see what was going on too. :confused3
No one was in the car and no ambulance around either. Hopefully whoever it was that flipped their car is ok.

Hope you have a great dinner!!!

Good evening all.
My kids and I also enjoyed the show. Loved the pre-cartoon!!!
I logged on to the Disney Visa site and took the quiz. Won a Soundrack to MTR. It should arrive in 3-5 weeks. :cool1: Almost forgot a couple answers, though. DD helped me out.
Slo, Bunchkin and SamIAm, it was great seeing you. Thanks for saving us a seat. The kids really enjoyed meeting some new friends.
Where did you see the thing about the Disney Store about MTR and the free kaleidoscope? Couldn't locate info on that anywhere. :confused3
:wave2: to everyone. Have a good night and day tomorrow. Have to get to church for our palms tomorrow.
Don't forget tomorrow on the travel channel all day are Disney shows. Going to tape those all on 1 tape to watch at my leisure. Thanks Macraven for the info on those shows once again!!

Happy packing Leigh. Hope you get moved OK.

Thanks, me too!

I'm still packing. I keep uncovering more and more things. But thank goodness my parents will still be here for a while, so I can still take some things if I forget them or don't get to them. As they're going through their stuff if they find some of my stuff they can put it aside. The main thing right now is to get the furniture out and get the bulk of my stuff over there, esp. the heavy stuff.

I wish I could have helped you, Leigh
You could have PM'd me and I could have tried to be at your place for a couple of hours to help pack :)

Oh, thanks, that's really sweet. But really it's just something I have to do myself, to weed through things, especially the stuff in the basement. My dad did help me pack a lot of things into boxes earlier, though.

sk8leigh, maybe we should have had a chgo meet at your place and packed the day away with you...

tiggerrn, you are very welcome. some of the listings for the tv shows are really good.

let's hope the electric doesn't go out tomorrow.
really starting to storm dreadfully here again.

lights are flickering.

It's raining a little by me.

Just a watch, not a warning.

i hate it when the lights flicker. i'm always afraid my computer will get fried even with the breaker i have on it.

as long as it is not pouring in the morning for sunday school and church, i'm good.

i have all your backs for the week, got you covered in church tomorrow.

i bought my disney hoppers from undercover tourist this evening.
got the air done also. made my adrs and now i need to work every day to earn the money to cover it all. it's always something huh......

I had a huge post typed up and my computer froze up and kicked me off-line!!

Here is the short version....

The Hawks won last night - 3 to 1. We sat next to 2 boys (about 8 and 10) who were unsupervised and they spilled DH's beer all over the place - including all over his shoes, so he had to sit with wet feet. He hadn't even taken a drink out of it yet. These kids were constantly bouncing, jumping, screaming, etc. And not a parent or adult with them. :headache: (We had asked them several times to settle down - the couple on the other side of them also asked them to settle down.) I talked to the guy checking the tickets and found out their dad works in the gift shop just below where we were sitting. The kids reimbursed DH for the beer, but only after I went to Guest Relations and the ticket guy talked to their dad. I didn't want to get the boys in trouble, but I would have been furious if my kids acted like that and did nothing. Honestly, I don't feel they should have been allowed to be unsupervised. We felt like we were babysitting the entire time. If we wanted to deal with kids, we would have taken our own. :confused3

Then, as we were leaving, someone hit us. The guy never looked and slammed right into us. He was driving his father's Ford Expedition. We have a 2005 Kia Sedona. Not a single scratch on his truck. It looks like we might have about $2,000 worth of damage. The guy admitted it was his fault and gave us all of his info. Now I have to spend Monday at the mechanics. Not my idea of a day off. :sad2: We should have just stayed home.

Just proves you can't get anything for "free"!! ;)

Now, the rain is starting here - coming down in buckets. I love a good rain storm!! :dance3:

Had to pop on here to wish my sweetie a Happy Birthday! We had a lovely dinner..I will let him fill you in.

Thunderboomers subsided here now, but still under Tornado Watch till midnight...eek

mvazul- so sorry about your night last night at the Hawks game :sad1: :scared:
I have never been to a hockey game of any sort, so didn't know about the rudeness of kids, adults there :sad2:
Hope the damage to your car won't be too expensive

Guess next time your DH will have to pass on internet ticket deals to the Hawks game :sad2:

Happy April Fool's Day everyone..........your shoe's untied.
