I just need to vent for a minute. I just spent all day in that freezing cold weather trying to find Bears clothes for the kids. Now tell me if I am crazy but if you owned a store that would sell something like that wouldn’t you make sure you had TONS of merchandise before your team is going to the Superbowl! Nothing at Sports Authority, Dicks, TJ Max, ToyRUs, BabysRUs, Kohls, Carson’s, Pennies, and the list goes on….I am so frustrated!! They have merchandise for mostly men. Oh well….

Debbie, we have a Bears sweatshirt my DH bought either at Walmart or Meijer(yes, Meijer sells clothes) for DS about 3 months back. It's a boys size large- 14/16 tho. I guess maybe the Bears sweatshirts are all sold out?? If you have a Meijer near you, you might want to try there

But don't go out in the cold again if you don't really have to. Maybe call wherever you plan to go, to see if they have any children's sizes for Bears clothes. Why waste going out in hte cold again if they may not have it in stock?JMO.

I've kept myself quite busy around the house today - I feel quite proud of myself I may as well take advantage of the cold weather keeping me indoors

Sam - I told Stephanie that when her and Katie are much older, that we are going to take a girls only trip to Disneyland Paris (Kevin has no desire to travel oversees)

Rose - I'm glad the conferences went well for the kids. It's to bad that Matthew gets so much homework - I always fear that to much homework is going to burn kids out, and turn them off of school. There must be rhyme to their reason

Debbie - I've gotten that warning about the signature before too. I'm actually surprised that I haven't gotten another one, since I'm illegal now too (shhh.....don't tell anyone )


Well, Kevin just called and said he is on his way home from work, so I better go put my cheesy pototoes in the oven (this way we get to eat early and than I'm out of the kitchen early )

Debbie I was looking for a Bears shirt for Hunter today too.
And places that had them a few days ago that I saw are now sold out. It's just the way it goes.
Just think though, if they win on Sunday you can go out first thing on Monday and get the kids an even better shirt than you would have found today!
I've been picked on a few times for my siggie too. And yes there are lots of offenders, it's just they get lucky and don't get 'picked on'!


slo Hunter and I went to Sam's Club today and got lots of munchy food for Sunday!!

She's fine, thank you. Yes, she starts indoor soccer on 2/17. Hopefully practices will start before then.

Debbie, I ordered 4 t-shirts and 1 one hat from NFL.com the night the Bears won and, I'm still waiting for 3 t-shirts! I told them I'm returning them if they don't arrive by tomorrow! What good are they to me after Sunday?!?! On Monday, I might be looking for all new t-shirts anyway - SUPER BOWL WINNER t-shirts!!!!!!!! I tried finding paper products today at Factory Card Outlet and, while they had Bears, Super Bowl, Blue, Orange and plain football, NONE of them had complete sets of items to buy! I bought one of each pattern. Balloons were aplenty tho! I bought one at Jewel and 4 at Factory Card Outlet!


I made a decision after being out a lot of today and tonight - I'M HIBERNATING IN THIS HOUSE UNTIL MONDAY MORNING WHEN KELLY HAS TO GO TO SCHOOL. There, I said it. It's tooooo darn **COLD** out there!

Good morning everyone! I hope everyone is staying warm. It's a might frosty out there.

This afternoon I sit a wait for satelite guy again.

I woke up with another sinus headache. I am getting so tired of this.GRRR

I think I have to make a quick trip out today then right back to the warm. I'm writing everything down so I don't forget anything.

I'm typing fast since the dogs are outside, sorry if I'm making less sense than normal. I need to go and bring the popsicles in.

Happy Saturday!

I wanted to say quick, I was at Sports Authority last night and they had kids sweatshirts there. Not very many about 5 or 6 but there neverless.

I cannot believe how cold it is. All I can hear is the wind outside. BURRRR

Kids are going to Disney on Ice today with my dad. Dad and stepmother didn't get me a ticket so I have the afternoon to myself.

I'm excited about the superbowl tomorrow. GO BEARS!!!!

She will either be totally excited and jump out of bed with no problem, or she'll say she don't want to go and give me a hard time. I'm hoping it's the first (fingers crossed)

Morning everyone. Too cold to do anything. Wishing I had a fireplace today. Even though I hated them as a kid. Messy.
Slo, great pics. Loved the one of empty Splash Mountain. DS favorite ride. He laughed seeing that one.
DS had strep throat. On antibiotics again. I feel like I am singlely funding my pediatricians retirement this winter.
Hope you all stay warm today. Going to do a bit of today and finish DD clothes sorting now. Then her room is done. Next week, DS room. Someone may have to come find me.

Hi Everyone, well Bunchkin and I braved the FROSTY temperatures this morning and took the kids to the show and the mall for a while. Of course, we had to hit the Disney store. I hear a lot of complaints about those stores, but I rather like them. They have some very nice clothes in there now. I know it's no World of Disney that's for sure, but I like it. I got some new Minnie Mouse paraphenalia. You know how we all have our favorite characters, well mine is definitely Minnie Mouse, but I especially love her in pink. I like the red dress, but I love her in pink!

I'm not sure if it was all the activity or the cold, or a combination of both, but Megan is out like a light upstairs. She kept asking me to take a nap with her, so I laid with her til she fell asleep. While I was laying with her the phone rang and it was my DH's work. He works outside on the overhead power lines for the Metra Electric trains. Well, in really bad cold and really bad heat, the lines have a tendency to go "whacky". He had to leave to go fix these things. It's like ZERO outside!! I FEEL SO BAD FOR HIM. I can't even imagine that type of job!! Uggggh!!

So, now I'll just hang out and DIS til Megan wakes up. I'll sit here and dream of warm sunny days! I hate this weather!

i'm a short distance from the lake and when the wind blows, i can feel the windows in my house shake.


minus 12 w/wc this afternoon.
not going to be any better tomorrow either.

mr mac has to go to manhattan for a meeting on monday.
i'll have to take him to the train station at 6 am, yuck.
no school on monday and i thought i would sleep in until he reminded me.

from there he will go to work for 2 hours and then catch a cab to ohare and come back tuesday night.

he asked if i wanted to go to new york with him.
i said, "are you kidding, what in the world would i do there while you are in a meeting"..............


seriously, if it isn't a warm weather place, i'm not going.




going to church in the morning, will have all you covered for the week.

Hi Everyone.
OMG it is freezing out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a chill in my bones constantly.
Your poor DH SamIam...anyone who has to work today or during this deep freeze..Wow! I feel for them!

I got DD a sweatshirt today but it's pretty big for her. It still looks cute. I got her a great bow from my Dis friend who makes those beautiful bows. It says Go Bears and has blue and orange on it. We have a Superbowl party to go to. Have fun all of you no matter what you are doing.

I agree with Kim about hybernating but we might do it until about the middle of March!

My DH got called for the 2 week jury duty and I am stressing because he is a tradesman and gets paid hourly so for two weeks he will only make $40.00 a day????????????? That is gonna hurt! Anyone go through this?
