Becky- I don't think it was here that Home Makeover was discussed. I did see some comercial a couple of weeks ago of a Chicago family(in Chicago, not in hte burbs) that had a extreme home makeover. The commercial was for the the upcoming show. I don't know if that show aired or not as I haven't watched Extreme Home Makeover lately.


Is it my imagination, or do they keep changing the smilies around every so many hours??

My turn for the pity party. I feel lousy today. I was fine this morning, then a coworker told me something that totally hurt my feelings, and I have been like a leaky faucet all day - crying and getting teary, even at the public desk at work. Now everything in the world is getting to me and I'm totally feeling sorry for myself now. I get out of work in 5 mins and I just know that as soon as I get to my car to drive home, I'm just going to baul my eyes out.

Jedi Some people can be so hurtful. I don't know why these "caring" people can say such things. I'm sorry that person decided it was neccessary to share.

Hi all! A couple of things...
Debbie- Funny pic! I clicked on your other thread, thinking a real storm was heading towards FL. My sister leaves on Sunday.
Speaking of my sister, she has finally joined the darkside...the DIS! I told her to stop by here and say hi. She is a huge Disney freak, too and has already stolen LGMH from Home Depot. I blame it on my parents. We went every year as kids!
HP fans- I know there are several of you on here...I can't wait for the last book. Harry had better not die, though! As for his half naked pic, I don't know what to say...
American Girl Doll lovers (or moms of them)- Been to the store? What did you do? How was it? I am thinking of taking dd in a few weeks.
I have been insanely busy between school, the kids, and bf (still going well!). I have all ENG courses this semester, so I have tons of reading. I just finished Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian" and could not have hated it more. Luckily, we have moved on to something with much less bloodshed.
Okay, back to the laundry. Night, all!

You came to the right place if you want info on AG Place. I happen to be an expert!!
Lauren and I have been there for every meal, have done the theatre, and of course shopped till we dropped. They also have special events during the year that you can attend. We've attended many of them. They are lots of fun. Sometimes they revolve around a particular historical doll. It will involve a meal, crafts, music. Check out their web site for event details and for info on the cafe and theatre program. Lauren and I can spend all day there and not run out of things to do and discover.

Hello all As Tracy (aka Paintnolish) already said, I have finally joined the dark side of the Dis boards. I'm looking forward to taking off on Sunday for my 3rd trip down in 14 months. Although it's only a short one of 3 days 4 nights I'll still take the opportunity to go whenever I can for whatever time period. Does that make me addicted?

So, I thought I would finally finish my TR from January



I took this is Saturday morning at 6am when we went to the MK to see my friend run the 1/2 marathon.

Then we ate breakfast at Whispering Canyon where I shot this picture. Remember, the day before the place was filled with Christmas cheer.

Afterwards, we went to Epcot to spend the day

We went on the new Finding Nemo ride, which we really enjoyed!!!!

We visited the American Adventure, which was still decorated for X-Mas

I took this in MouseGears (I thought it was cute!!)

This lighted arch-way leading to the World Showcase was beautiful!!!

That lighted arch-way led straight to the Christmas tree, which was beautiful!!!

More to come, I need to put Steph on the bus

The next day (Sunday) my friend and I went to MGM (Kevin was sick and stayed in bed for awhile. He did join us at around 4pm)

This Santa was above Mama Melrosa's. I noticed him as we were eating outside at Pizza Planet.

Herbie was all decked out for Christmas.
It was nice seeing him with a bow, instead of love bugs, like in Sept.

All the lights had a christmas tree on them - I thought that was pretty cool!!

Than for the first time, we were able to see the Osborne Festival of Lights - it was magnificent!!!!!

Then later that night, Kevin went back to bed, and my friend and I went to the MK to enjoy EMH. This is where we saw Nicole and Tony at Stitch's Great Escape, and I'm really kicking myself for not having someone take a picture of Nicole and I - oh well, next time!!!

The next morning we got up early so we could go have breakfast at The Crystal Palace. The castle was back to normal (I loved the 50th Anniversary castle, but I really love the castle most when it looks normal)

It was sad seeing Splash Mountain all dried up
This is mine and Stephanie's favorite ride to do together

While we were waiting to get into the Haunted Mansion we saw this tombstone with a little lizard and a rose on it

I also noticed for the first time that this tombstone moves. Did you all know that it's eyes and head moved? I think I'm the only one that didn't know this. This is why I love going to WDW over and over again. Just when I think I have seen it all, I find something else that I didn't notice before.

When we were leaving the MK I had to take a picture of these 3 windows. I just loved how they made the skirts for these dresses out of dolls. It's sorta hard to see the bust of the dress from the reflection in the windows, but if you look close you can see it.

Good Morning all!!!

2 MORE DAYS TILL THE SUPERBOWL!!


Even though I am a Raiders and Packers Fan I will still be watching the game and cheering on the Bears!! The kids will be watching too.
But DH refuses to cheer them on! I'm sure he'll be working any way so it won't matter!! Hunter has already told me "we need lots of food to eat during the Superbowl, that's what people do". I have NO idea where he got that idea from!!!

Slo: Awesome pictures!!

I noticed that Leota's eyes open up on my trip there in February! Sneaky little lady! She pops her eyes open takes a quick look around and SNAP, they close up again! The first time I saw it, I thought no way. Then I stood there and waited. I didn't care how many people passed me up! I was going to catch her!!

One of the cast members sort of dryly said to me... Are you satisfied now? I said, YES! He sort of smirked at me and walked away! Gotta love those HM Castmembers!

Let me tell you something though... That tree near the Roy Disney statue with Minnie was not there when we were there in November/December. And the wreaths and garland were not strung up across Main Street yet. That's because it was before the parade taping and apparently the wreaths and garland get in the way and the tree blocks the cameras set up at the train station. So, we didn't get to see those... sniffle sniffle! Next time I go at Christmas, it will be after parade taping!

Have any of you ever entertained the thought of going to Disneyland Paris? Wouldn't that be something!!


JEDI: I hope you are feeling a bit better. Why don't you PM the name of the person who hurt your feelings! I'm pretty sure they can get along okay without their knees!! I think it's time to go TONYA HARDING on someone!!

Hi all-
Haven't been on the DIS much today since the kids keep kicking me off the computer There is no school today and we only have 1 computer for the 4 of us. DH is at work today as usual. My school district has too many days off! Half day here and there, full days off here and there. I have heard other moms at our school complain about all the days off, too. So it's not just me complaining

Slo- really enjoyed your WDW pics!! Thanks for posting them!

Slo and Geffric- Thanks for asking about the kids' conferences. Chrissy's went really well. Her teacher, special ed teacher, and teacher's aide are very proud of her accomplishments! She has progressed school-wise at a steady rate Matthew's went somewhat well. Matthew has been having some problems with some literacy stuff, more of the school work. He reads fine and comprehension is fine, just they are expecting more out of the kids for 4th grade. His math, spelling tests, and learning the states- he's doing really well. He's also in the gifted program(2nd yr in the program). The gifted teacher has high expectations of him- well all his teachers do. He is still considered special ed because of his Aspergers(form of Autism). But overall he is doing well in school. Just too much homework comes home for him this school yr.

I just need to vent for a minute. I just spent all day in that freezing cold weather trying to find Bears clothes for the kids. Now tell me if I am crazy but if you owned a store that would sell something like that wouldn’t you make sure you had TONS of merchandise before your team is going to the Superbowl! Nothing at Sports Authority, Dicks, TJ Max, ToyRUs, BabysRUs, Kohls, Carson’s, Pennies, and the list goes on….I am so frustrated!! They have merchandise for mostly men. Oh well….

And another thing….I got an email saying my siggie is illegal and then another one even after I tried to fix it saying it was still wrong. Well, it’s one thing if everyone had legal siggies but hardly anyone does so it’s annoying to me….. So as you will see my siggie will be shrinking!!!!!

How are all of you?? Sounds like everyone is basically OK.
Hopefully everyone and their children are all in one piece.
