Hi all!! :wave2:

I just got done watching the pre-game show and the very beginning of the game. I was really impressed with Billy Joel - it had to have been hard to play the piano in the rain. I'm a real Billy Joel fan - he did great!!!! :thumbsup2

I love Billy Joel's music also, but I wasn't impressed with his peformance tonight. Somehow, it just didn't seem to fit. Generally, I think he performs with real "feeling", but I just wasn't feeling it tonight. I'm sure he put his heart into it, but I think it just wasn't his type of material.

But, I will say he did considerably better than the Bears! :(

Oh well, *JUST WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!* ;)

Oh well, *JUST WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!* ;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Wait....are we in baseball season already? :rotfl:

That's all I could think of when I read that.

My poor DD is going to get so ribbed at school tomorrow! We don't even watch football -- so the game wasn't even on here. :rotfl: She has told everyone she was rooting for the Colts on Friday.

And WHY is she doing this is Bears land? Because one of her friends at school is & she didn't want her to feel left out. :goodvibes I can already picture it at school tomorrow.

:sad2: Poor Bears!!! Better luck next year!!!
The opening run was awesome though.
Sandy the audition was in St. John at the Community Center (next to the Paragon Rest. on Rt. 30). Her little group of ballerinas from our Park District were among the final 5 in the audition. They all got varying parts. Kellie is going to be a lullabye girl (not sure what they do). Of course, the big parts all go to the older, more experienced dancers. But the girls are all excited. They start practices next week at Broad Horizons. The days and times may vary from week to week, so I'm sure things will be crazy here from now through May. What we moms won't do for our children.!! My mom never ran me around anywhere. Play date? Go outside and find some neighborhood kids. Organized sports? Only through school. Man how the times have changed. Whew!!! I'm pooped just thinking about it.
Well, better get to bed. Night all!!!

I slept so good last night, it was hard to get up this morning:rolleyes:

I watched the whole game last night, and it was to bad that the Bears lost :guilty: I don't know anything about football, so I can't comment about the game. What I can comment on is how much I loved the Blockbuster commercial when the rabbit was using the real mouse, as a computer mouse - to funny!!!!:rotfl2:

Crissup - I have to agree with you about Billy Joel, but I'm sure playing in the rain had something to do with it too. That is not ideal performing weather, especially when you are playing a piano. :umbrella:

Becky - Now your DD can say "I told ya" if anyone gives her a hard time ;)

Tiggernnn - Congrats to you DD for getting a part in the play, I bet she is very excited!!!:woohoo: :yay:

Well, I gotta run and start getting ready for work
Have a good day everyone!!

WOW Baby it's cold out there! Even my dogs go out do their business and back inside.

I've always had an appreciation for people that work outside, this cold is ridiculous. Drive save everyone a friend had what could have been a very bad accident last week, thank God for airbags. This cold clouds your thinking.

I hope everyone had at least a good time at their Super bowl parties. Poor Bears. I really liked the half time show Prince did a good job :thumbsup2. I was trying to decide if his hair was with purple highlights or was it just the lighting?

Ok got to get ready to go out into the frozen tundra.

through the power of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Walt Disney World is made up of four separate theme parks, each with its own
innovations: the 107-acre Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom. The four parks are all part of a megaplex of a

i loved the one commercial of david letterman and oprah!!

such a hoot...!!

Baby, it's *cold* outside!

Well, the Bears are done...it's kind of sad, isn't it? Although the SOX are much more my fav team, there sure was a lot of hype for the Bears, and now it's over...

But, what about the commercials for the Super Bowl game? I didn't really see anything that I was overly impressed with. (I don't like Oprah at all, so that one didn't do a thing for me, sorry!) Anyone else see anything great??

Time to go and get ready for work...everyone have a GREAT day today...stay warm!!!:)

What we moms won't do for our children.!! My mom never ran me around anywhere. Play date? Go outside and find some neighborhood kids. Organized sports? Only through school. Man how the times have changed. Whew!!!

:thumbsup2 My mom gives me a *very* hard time when my DD's schedule gets insane (like it is going to be NOW) due to her gymnastics, cheerleading, play practices schedules. When I start telling her where we are all running around to between my kids stuff, she will just start saying things like we never did this & I'm crazy. :lmao: Especially since some of the gymnastics meets aren't real close but at least I'm not up to the going out of state to competitions yet. Right now until DD's school play happens, life will be insane. She has an orchestra & choir concert coming up too. So, next Monday, she stays at school until 5:30 for play practice but then she has an orchestra concert that starts at 7:00 & they usually want them there by 6:40ish. NOT really enough time to come home, so I'm going to have to bring her orchestra outfit to change there & probably pick up McDonald's or something.

Then she also has her gymnastics & cheer practices plus the boys & their karate and the 6 year old is also doing basketball now too.

And can I just say -- WAHHH...I wanted our school to be closed today due to cold but it's not, so now I have to bundle up the 3 year old & take him to speech. Blah!:cold:

Good morning all-
Well......ok, the Bears didn't do too well in the second half of the game :sad2:
Maybe blame it on the rain?? Devon Hester did a great job with that touchdown from the initial kick-off :thumbsup2
I do congratulate the Colts, having a fine game last night :thumbsup2
Peyton Manning is a more seasoned(more experienced) quarterback, so I can totally see why the Colts did well. I am happy for him they won, as he has been waiting quite awhile to win the Superbowl. Happy for Tony Dungy, too!
Did enjoy the Superbowl commercials- didn't care for the Godaddy.com one. Enjoyed seeing Prince for the half-time show and Billy Joel for the national anthem. Hey, the Bears are still NFC division champs!!:cool1:
Ok, time to start focusing on baseball season!

Tiggerrn- congrats to your DD for getting the part:cheer2:

Sam- sorry to hear your dh is sick. Hope he gets better soon :wizard:

Donna- I can't really think of a commercial that really stuck out that was extremely funny. I'll have to watch them all again, as I forgot some of them already

Mac-thanks for the tv listings :thumbsup2

Hi to Slo, Becky and everyone else :wave2:

Keep warm everyone

Good Morning Chilly Friends!!! :)

Yesterday we were watching the Weather Channel and laughing about how cold we are and how other places in the US who are usually colder than us are warmer!! What gives??? :confused3 :rotfl:

This severe cold weather just puts more fuel in my fire to move south. Same for DH. If I haven't already mentioned it before, I think at some point we will move south, maybe when the kids are older.

All though I am not a huge Bears fan, I do feel bad that they didn't win!
My DH doesn't feel bad about it at all!!! He promptly called Sam to give them a hard time about the Bears loosing!! What a punk!! :rotfl:

slo Hope your pizzas were good! And you're right, that Blockbuster commercial was sooo funny!!

Leigh I too am glad Hunter doesn't wear Lauren's clothes!!! :lmao:
Hope your car is running ok today!!! :thumbsup2

Tiggerrn Congrats to your DD and her ballet troop for being in a play!! That's great!!

Debbie I hope the Superbowl party that you went to was fun!! :)

Hersey Thanks for letting us know your dogs go to the bathroom outside!! I was worried they were using the facilities inside!!! :lmao: :lmao: ;) And I would have asked if they know how to wash their paws when they're done!! :rotfl: ;)

Laundy is already going and I have a roast in the crockpot! So today is looking good so far!! .......now for all that paper work I need to do.....:rolleyes1

Well poor DH didn't get home until 4:00 a.m.! So, figure about 12 hours in the cold! And the worst part, now he's sick!

I sure do hope he's feeling better soon!!

He must have been a popsicle by the time he got home!!!! ;) BRRRRR!!!

Quick fly by "HI".....

Fun time last night even though the Bears lost:sad1: The kids were there with us so they had a blast running around.

STAY WARM everyone! It is brutal out there! I will be venturing out at about 2:30. Oh well...so much for hibernating!

I'd rather be in Disney!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, this cold weather always makes me so tired :faint: I think it's because I come in from the cold outside to a warm an cozy house, and it just makes me want to veg out.

We weren't very busy at work today :sad2: One guy came in grunting from the cold, and then said his project wasn't an emergency, and we could take as long as we want:confused3 I think if I were grunting from the cold, I would have just stayed home:rolleyes:

Now Steph is at dance, and I'm sitting here trying to get motivated to make some dinner. I think I'm going to have some soup, and the girls want fish sticks (they love those things)

To everyone - Hi there!! :wave2: I have no time to make individual comments since I have to go make some dinner.

Well, I gotta run
Have a good night tonight, and stay warm

slo - that's what I was thinking - if it wasn't an emergency, then why bother bringing it in now! That's what made me frustrated about yesterday at work - the only people that came in came for tax forms. It's only the beginning of February!

Ok, can I just say it?? It' FRICKIN cold out!!!!! :scared1: BRRRRRRR...

I stayed home from work today, but then remembered I still had to work at my part time job (which I never do on Mondays, but am filling in), so the joke was on me in the end.

I'm sad about the Bears, but proud of them regardless. :goodvibes

But, what about the commercials for the Super Bowl game? I didn't really see anything that I was overly impressed with. (I don't like Oprah at all, so that one didn't do a thing for me, sorry!) Anyone else see anything great??

Time to go and get ready for work...everyone have a GREAT day today...stay warm!!!:)

reason i liked the david letterman/oprah commercial is that they have had a long standing feud going on for years.
oprah looked so pained to be in it.......

i can't stand oprah.
i met her a the chgo hospital and she insulted me.

but, i loved the commercial.............letterman's delivery had me howling with laughter.

and the mouse commercial was good.
and the first bud lite commercial of paper, scissors, rock was a hoot for us.
