jedi_librarian said:HI, everyone
I just wanted to pop on and ask for everyone's prayers and pixie dust. DH and I are in NYC right now and we had a mishap this morning on the plane. About midflight, I noticed DH's head bobbling back and forth, and I noticed he had dropped the granola bar he was eating. I didn't know if he was choking, or having a minor seizure or a stroke or what. It was the scariest moment of my life. All I know is that I was calling his name, holding his face in my hands and he just would not come-to. His eyes were glazed over and he was unresponsive and his head kept bobbling around. I thought I was going to lose my husband on that flight.![]()
Anyway, to make a long story short, he is fine, believe it or not. He finally came-to, was tended to by flight attendants and a doctor who was on board (thankfully) and was taken off the plane by paramedics and taken to the ER at a hospital in Queens. They ran all sorts of tests on him and everything came out fine. So, they have no idea what happened to him.The doc didn't think it was food related (low blood sugar) fatigue or anything like that.
So, we're here resting in the hotel. We still went to the concert tonight that we came here for, and we'll be back in Chicago on Thursday. I can't imagine I'll get any sleep tonight. I'll probably stay up watching him. It was the scariest thing I've gong through.![]()

It almost sounds like a TIA, ministroke. Prayers for your DH and you. I hope it doesn't happen again. Does he remember the incident? Please keep us posted on how's he doing

Debbie, while you didn't ask me, I'm replying anyway.Debbie6221 said:Slo...glad you are liking your classes. Is the realty business hard to be in right now? I heard things are going to be changing in January. Is that true?
I work for a real estate attorney and my PT job, 5 days a week, has been cut to 3, sometimes 2 days a week. It's nice but, it's also not nice, $$$wise. As for things changing, January isn't typically a good month either but, when speaking with a reliable loan officer recently, I'm told the RATES will be coming down.
Carmen! I'm so sorry. How terrifying. Prayers andjedi_librarian said:I just wanted to pop on and ask for everyone's prayers and pixie dust.
for sure!!!

We will miss you locally tho. That's a tough move, so far away from your Mom who's so close.
Best Wishes to you!

I'm so glad I choose to work out of this office.
He must feel so flattered!!!
As upset as you all are, I say forget about them, and have a nice Thanksgiving with just the 4 of you. You can make a wonderful meal, rent a bunch of movies, and relax at home all day. Hugs to you all, and when you need us, we are here for you

Seriously though, good luck and well wishes!!!
I'm so glad he's better now, but I would agree with whoever said you should check with his normal doctor when you get home. There may be something going on with him that wasn't found there. I will keep you both in my prayers and please keep us posted on how he is doing. We are always here for you!!!!
The cast he has sounds so fun and festive!!!
Wait till he has to get it cut off - it's pretty neat how they do it. Did they say anything about physical therapy after its off? I sure hope you were able to get some sleep last night.
I sure hope you get your hours back soon
Have a good day today!!!
that has to have been one of the most frightening things to go through. good thing there was a doc on that flight.
DH says he is not sure he remembers me calling him. He might remember. Sigh. But we're going to call his doctor this morning and hopefully she'll see him as soon as we get back. Meanwhile, we're going to try to enjoy this one day we have in NYC now
(I think shopping may cheer me up
Especially that nice little World of Disney store over on 5th av.
)
I'm glad to see he's feeling better.
How is your son doing?

, I guess it didn't hurt her. She got B's in science and Algebra but those are both high school courses, like AP classes. We just sent in 5 applications for High Schools, one more to go.
We are always an afterthought.
and Carmen I also checked the distance to WDW it is only 525 miles
I bought Stacey a pair of pirate pants at Epcot and had them send it to our resort. I picked up the bag, glanced inside then packed it. When we got home I pulled them out and they left the security device still on them.
I called and even the Disney stores can't take them off so I have to mail them back and they will remove it and send them back to me

And you know, I almost didn't come with him on this trip. I was seriously debating it, but he really wanted me to go. What if I hadn't been there?![]()

the line is getting longer
I had to explain to her all about Xrays. She's had xrays at the dentist, but didn't know about the bone ones. She was relieved to hear that. I said, he'd probably get a cool cast, but I didn't know he'd get one with snowmen, all Christmasey like that.
