Chia Pet

We got my DD a Chia Pet for Christmas as sort of a joke...anyway, I can't stand to look at it with its newly formed buds. If physically turns my stomach and makes me want to vomit. It looks like little maggots or something to me. Does a Chia Pet make anyone else ill or am I just weird?

I agree they are creepy. Can you put it in solitary confinement until it's hair comes in?

Speaking of Chias, I saw on the news that an Obama chia will soon be available.

I got a ch-ch-ch-Chia when I was about twelve years old. The seeds kind of sprouted, or budded, but then they fell off. It never "grew."

Didn't turn my stomach, but was a disappointment.

My sister begged for a chia pet for X-mas when she was in High School. (she was an odd duck). When she got it, she must have over watered it or something because it completely molded over and started to smell. My mom threw it away. That was creepy. My DH got a chia pet Shaggy as a secret Santa gift a couple of years ago from work. We got the seeds in their water and then we forgot about them and they dried into a hardened cement mess.

Yeah, they're gross. It looked kinda' cool for 5 minutes until it got covered in haze of mold. Yum!
