Dawn, do you really think Cheney's "plan" was a good one? Israel fires at Iran, Iran fires back, Israel then uses their nukes...next thing we know its WWIII. Is that seriously OK with you?

First of all, we don't know that it is Cheney's plan. The last time I heard from "unidentified sources" with regard to Fallon, he said, in the Army Times, that it was an outrageous lie. Secondly, Israel just attacked a site in Syria. I didn't see that they used nukes. The goal would be to remove a nuclear facility from Iran before they have nukes. You are making a huge leap to assume that Israel would use nukes. Considering what they have been the victim of, they have shown tremendous restraint.

Are you not concerned that Iran has been provoking the US continuously for at least the last year. They support and export terrorism. They supply the men, ammo, equipment and training that kill our soldiers. WE are provoking no one. If happen to be on the receiving end of a military action, it is only what they have been "asking" for for a while now.

Honestly, after listening to Amanutajob on 60 Minutes tonight, lie repeatedly, smirk sarcastically, have a military parade with signs that say "death to America", ask rhetorically what "religion" invades and occupies another country when we know the answer is ISLAM, who wants to push Israel into the sea, denies the holocost, how can you honestly say that? As a Jew, do you not at least feel somethiing for Israel?

I don't think that anyone would ever consider that they would have to provoke Israel ever to defend herself. Israel will never permit Iran to have nuclear weapons. The United States will always support Israel. It is surprising to me, but I hear so much criticism of the US support for Israel, pardon me, if I get a little touchy about the subject. Iran is an exporter of terrorism and they cannot be permitted to go nuclear.

I feel a lot of things for Israel... Some good some bad..Just like I feel about most countries..I have strong religious ties to Israel, that does not mean I agree with every stap the country has taken... The issue I was responding to was countries haing nuclear weapons..Frankly, I don't want to see any country having them, be that country Israel, Iran or the USA
It's not Islam itself that wants to see Israel driven into the sea and denies the Holocaust, but some extremist groups within Islam..I know of plenty of Christians who deny the Holocaust

They aren't quite as free to practice Judaism as they are made out to be

ETA, I don't have the exact numbers,but Jews have left Iran in droves..While iran has the largest number of jews in the Middle East outside of Israel, I believe they have dropped by more than 50% in the last 30 years

Because there are Jews freely practicing their religion in Iran, does not mean that Iran is a free and tolerant country. The Jews there aren't a political threat. Believe me, Iran's mullahs are terrified of western influences, and despite the need and the tragedy in Bam, Iran, after the earthquake, the demanded that the US DMAT team leave at two weeks after their arrival. The best thing that could happen for Iran would be an internal revolution. If certain targets are hit within Iran, it won't be because they "deny the holocaust", it will be because they will not be allowed to acquire nukes.
