I thought that we were morally superior to others and we don't take land that isn't ours--except to bury our dead.

Actually, I do believe that Colin Powell believed this ideal--"take land only to bury your dead". However, notice that he is no longer part of the Bush Administration.

Perhaps Colin Powell was morally superior .

Who are you to question anyone's morality? IMHO that job belongs only to my God {who may not be your God, if in fact you (plural - anyone who reads this) believe in one - generally speaking - not meant to be taken personally by anyone}.

So, you wouldn't question Hitler's morality? How about Ted Bundy's? Or Idi Amin's?
