Up at 5.30am. Showered and ready early. Phoned home, had complimentary brekkie and we were at Epcot by 8.30am. The queues to get in were enormous
Our itinary had said Belz and designer mall shopping but cos we were up so early we changed it!
We were through the gates by 8.45am and at rope drop at 9am. We followed the hoards to Soarin and were straight in with just 5 minute wait. Its a great ride - a must do - one of my new favourites!- I have photos of the ride and the seats you sit in - (they'll be on another day cos they're on a different camera card and not yet loaded on to the pc - just to make you keep reading!) We fast passed Soarin again and got a ticket for 11.18am-12.18pm. We zoomed over to Test Track and waited for 25 mins in the queueing area. Never been in this area before cos I usually do the single rider queue and bypass it all, but Ellis was doing it this time so we went on as a family. We bought the photo cos you could just see him over the dashboard!
We then went back over to the "Land" area and went to Seasons food court. This had changed a lot since I was last there due to Soarin going in. The food was lovely - hubby and I had chinese and Ellis had a "make your own sandwich" on a mickey plate (which I kept!). Back to Soarin to use our fastpasses. The standby queue was now 90 minutes - we were on in 2 minutes. The fast pass tickets were now being issued for 6-7pm!
We went to Innoventions next - hadnt been here before - we made a robot!
You have to design your own robot, race it
heres a picture of Hubby and Ellis racing their robot - they came 3rd. You have to stand on a mat (similar to a dance mat) and run, jump etc and watch the screen at the same time cos your robot is doing the same actions as you are. Great fun - especially if you're just watching , then you get to the next area where you get the arms, legs body etc and make up your robot.
Good (free) toy that occupied Ellis in the bath and in the room etc. We all made one so we are the proud owners of 3 "bots". They all come apart for easy packing!
We left Epcot at 2pm and went to Mall of Millenia. Shopping wasnt brilliant - bit too "designer" for me when I'm dressed in trainers, shorts and t-shirt and all sticky from a theme park, but......the reason we went.....yes....you've already guessed it... the Cheesecake Factory! - now, should you visit this sacred place of worship then be prepared for HUGE portions. Even I had to leave a bite or two
Apologies for the photos - we'd tucked in before I remembered so theres only half left!
Neils - A pint of Bud and oreo choc mudslide - with nuts in (the fool - or he may have been very clever knowing he wouldnt have to share )
Mine - A glass of Merlot and a White choc with raspberry swirl- super delicious - words cannot describe - I need a bib just thinking about it. AND I SHARED WITH ELLIS! - How generous am I! - (only after I realised I wouldnt manage it on my own though)
There... hope you're all happy now - photos of cheesecake! - half eaten cheesecake anyway
Feeling full and happy we headed home for a snooze!
Dinner was at Bennigans - fajitas. Back to room for an early night and a mug of tea - couldnt even manage another slice of cheesecake!
Weather today was 92 degrees, yet they had 6 foot of snow in Houston!
Steps 11,000 - no where near enough for that cheesecake!
