I have a question: If we are staying one night at a WDW resort before our cruise (we booked thru DCL) do we check in for our cruise at the resort, like they do for the Land and Sea packages? Or will we be checking in at the ship? Thanks!

I've got the same question - we're staying a week at the Contemporary before our cruise. Anyone?

Thanks - Brenda

I believe if it was booked as a land/sea package you can check in at hotel and not at ship. If it is just a separate reservation that you made at WDW before your cruise you will have check-in again at the port. The WDW CM's would not have access to your cruise reservation unless it was booked as a "package".

Don't worry, the check-in at the port is a breeze! There are multiple windows, so there is rarely a very long wait. Are you driving or doing your own transportation (i.e. a towncar)? If so, you'll probably want to leave earlier than the DCL resort buses. We always book the land portion on our own when we do a combo trip and take Happy Limo to the port. We have never had to wait an excessive amount of time for check-in.
