Where do you check in? In the main lobby just like the AKL guests, or is there a separate check in area for AKV?

That's right, we've done it twice, and the next time will be in June!:goodvibes

FYI - Kilimanjaro Club guests should stop at the Bell Services desk and they will assist you. Should your room be prepared at this time, the bellman will take you directly up to your room and you can come by the concierge lounge at your leisure to check in. However if the room has not been prepared yet, the bellman will put your luggage in storage and a cast member will take you directly up to our concierge lounge. Either way, there will be no need for you to wait in line at the front desk. If you are arriving after 10:00 p.m. please be sure to stop by the Kilimanjaro Club desk in the morning before you head out so we can make sure we have your reservation in order regarding charging privileges and tickets.

No biggie but you do need to tell them you are staying in the Villas. I rented points and my heart skipped a beat when I was told she couldn't find me....and then a second later asked if I was staying in the Villas. :wizard:

All was good.

My DS, four at the time, loved Don AKA Donald Duck at the AK Lounge. He practically tried to stalk him each night when we were there.

thanks for the part where u said that we had to tell them that we were staying in the villas. i would have just died if i couldnt get in or thought i wasnt booked.

No problem..again it wasn't that big of a deal...but for a second my heart skipped a beat. :)

Yes me too! I see that you are going just about the same time as my first trip home too (Aug 22-29) :woohoo:

We're going in July!! I can't wait. I've heard that EVERYBODY comes into the lobby and then disburses to all rooms from there. How far is some of the farthest rooms from the lobby?

I've heard so many great things about AKV but I have to be honest...I'm really excited about the completion of Kidani and the rest of the DVC part. (unfortunately not until early 2009 :sad1: )
