Welp the Fed-Ex man got me again today. I had a glass kitchen piece break and the company sent me a new one free of charge (so yay for good customer service!) but I was not expecting it yet and was not expecting it via Fed-Ex. I also got a call from an Orlando area code yesterday. Related to our upcoming trip. I know Ventura or whoever is doing this contest is not in Orlando but if I had remembered 407 is Orlando's area code I may have freaked out! lol
All signs are pointing to I'm not winning! haha.

This comes up time and time again, so I thought I would also post this explanation here as to how the rules say e-mail address, not household address.

When a document is going to refer to a particular word or words multiple times through-out, they can shorten/reduce (nickname even) it by immediately adding the new reference in brackets behind the first instance the word is used.

HERE is where it tells everyone that "address" equals "e-mail address". Bolded and underlined parts are mine:

(b) ONLINE ENTRY: As a registered member ("Member") of Disney.com, you may enter each Daily Sweepstakes by logging onto Disney.com/memoriessweeps("Website"), logging in with your Member Name and Password and following the "How to Enter" instructions ("Online Entry"). If you are not a Member, you may become a Member for free by visiting the Website and registering by providing the requested information on the Registration Form through the link on the site: "Not registered?" Upon becoming a Member by registration, you may enter by following the above instructions. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your on-line service will apply. It is your sole responsibility to notify the Administrator if you change email address ("Address"). To do so, go to http://register.go.com/go/memberservices/home, log into your Website account with your Member Name and Password, click on "Modify" and follow the instructions on how to change the Address.

- now whenever the rules say "Member", it means "registered member". I underlined "member" each time to illustrate.

- now the rules do not have to type out the web address each time. It can just say "website". Again, later in this paragraph the rules now say "website" instead of typing out the web address again. (Again, illustrated with underscore).

And finally, the very last two last sentences in this paragraph shows how this is correct. Note the bolded part. Now whenever the rules say "Address", it means "e-mail address". Every single time after that the rules say "address" it means "e-mail address".

So when our names get drawn, don't we get an email or phone call before a FedEx package would show up at the door???

Some people have, some people haven't. It just depends on whether or not they need to confirm your mailing address. The winner who did not receive a phone call or email said she had recently booked/taken a Disney vacation, so they probably had her info through that. If you open the rules, there's a link you can click on to make sure your address is current.

Awesome, thanks!

I'm starting to think about this too! Would love to hear someone say they won by texting.
Donna, I enter a lot of contests. Since July I have participated in two contests that I entered by texting. I won first prize (not the grand prize) in both (1-nite stay from Holiday Inn and $190 in gold from Doritos/Taco Bell). So I'm 2 for 2 on text entries. However, those were both text-only contests.

I think your chances of winning by texting are the same as winning by internet.

Can i enter for my boyfriend and me on the same computer ( same address separate email addresses?

I am not sure if that makes a difference.

I don't think that should be a problem - if you get an Error Message on the website when you try to register for the second email address, you may want to try using a different browser or clearing your cache/cookies.

Congratulations to the three winners so far!!!! I hope you keep coming back with your updates, it sure is fun to read. Good luck fellow disers, I hope more of us win!!!

I have been entering using my Disney account since the first day. This morning I logged into my Disney account and saw that it ONLY had my email address on file. :scared1: I booked our last trip with this account. I ordered maps and planning DVDs. I KNOW I had it fully updated, all I can figure is the information got wiped during one of their many upgrades.

So did I potentially miss out on a chance for the OMDD sweepstakes? My email was correct, just no other information was available. It has been updated as of today, hopefully they would have emailed me if my name was picked.

Since you had no info there at all, this would probably be a case where they would email you to get your mailing address.

I drove by my house at lunch - no fed ex.

I won a trip to Europe last summer (non disney) so I really can't complain. 10 day cruise to italy, greece, turkey, 2 nights before in rome. Ahhhhh I miss vacationing like that.

So I have reading up....SOOOOOOOOOO excited for the winners!!

I have a question: so if the rules state something to the extent of a quad occupancy..what if you are a family of 5?? I know to bring the 5th we would have to pay for him but what about the room? If we don't fit then do we just have to pay the difference in getting into a room we all fit in?

I hope I win soon because it sounds like everyone wants to go to DL and that would probably be my choice as well and I don't want them to run out of DL packages before I can clain one !!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

The FED EX man came today!!!!!!!!!! ........ I was so excited when I saw him pull in... I wasn't expecting anything... And no one had ordered anything and I just KNEW it was a certified letter. I threw open the door and practically bombarded him... And then I saw the big box.... Husband ordered something for work. DOH! Talk about the wind out of my sails......

Many rooms at Disney hold 5. You would only receive 4 park tickets and airline tickets. I won a trip many years ago. We were able to pick our resort, so we chose the yacht club. We received tickets for 4, but only had 2 people (ds was under 3). Good luck everyone!

Did anyone else have trouble entering online this morning? I tried 3 different browsers before I was able to submit an entry. Mozilla and IE kept throwing errors, either saying I wasn't logged in or that there was a communication error. I was finally able to do it with Opera.

Congrats to the wimmers! :cool1:

Is texting a waste? I'm still having problems entering online.
