I can remember very well when I first got into Pokemon and it all started when I rented Pokemon Crystal for Gameboy Advance and as I played I saw how easy a game it was to play and based on that I got my own copy of Pokemon Crystal for Christmas and I saw how giant Pokemon was and I never knew that it would soon take off like a rocket decades later. And when you look at it today Pokemon has grown and it's probably the most popular video game franchise next to Sonic The Hedgehog Pac-Man Super Mario Brothers Call Of Duty and Assassin's Creed. Because Nintendo knew how much Pokemon would take off like a rocket in America after seeing how successful it was in Japan. And with cartoon shows movies toys such as plushies and figurines and not to mention the famous Burger King Pokemon Kids Meal craze that caused Burger Kings all over America to run out of Pokemon toys. And Pikachu is not just the iconic Pokemon character he became a celebrity and next to Mario Pikachu has become more popular than ever. And with the many Nintendo Switch Pokemon games made as well as Nintendo Switch 2 Pokemon games Pokemon will continue to grow in popularity for decades to come

I am not sure if my twin grandsons (almost 9) play the game (most likely/I will have to ask) but I do know they collect the cards.
