Thank you to all the winners for posting and giving the rest of us some hope. I also figured that the early winners whose names are not on the site probably we not verified - which means more chances for us!:banana:

My cousin and her husband are also trying to win. We have a pact that if one couple wins twice, then we will bring the other family.

Love it! When I pointed out to my husband the potential for a husband & wife to BOTH win a trip, he was saying the same thing. He could bring his brother, nephew & our son. I would bring his SIL, niece & our daughter.

Now there's just the small detail of both of us winning right? :lmao:

Congratulations to all the winners!

The way I interpret it is they pull all 7 winners at once, right after another, of course.:)

Since they seem to want to verify the validity of the winner before making it official, my guess is that Disney planned on drawing a winner each day, then announcing the first full batch of 7 winners a few days after the last name was pulled/verified. Unfortunately, it seems it is either taking Disney longer to get the home address and affidavit in time for the weekly announcements, or people not replying at all meaning Disney has to draw an alternate.

I think it was just a poor choice of words on Disney's part. They probably should have written winners announced on such and such date, instead of drawing on such and such dates.

Thanks for posting winners and making this a fun few weeks as we hope to join you on the list :thumbsup2

I have not been able to decipher this from the rules... but the recent posts are making me question my original assumption.... I thought it was against the rules for me and my husband to both enter the contest. Obviously we share a resident address and cell plan. He has a yahoo email (among others) and I have gmail... So - can we both enter via our separate emails or is our shared home address what they mean by one address?

Thanks,
Sydnerella's Mama

yes, you both can enter. :thumbsup2. You just need to enter each using your own email address. The term "address" in the rules means email address, not household address.

I blame myself :lmao: ...here you go:

I think I'm just going to post this in the OP and on every page....

ACCORDING TO THE RULES, ONE ENTRY PER "ADDRESS" IS DEFINED AS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, NOT YOUR HOME ADDRESS.

Happy entering everyone!

I keep checking my spam folder but I really hope I didn't delete it before this thread let me know it would be coming from Ventura Associates and not Disney.

I am very diligent about not opening unsolicited emails.

I'd be sick if I deleted the original one.

Congratulations to all the winner---first time posters or 1000th times posters. It is so much fun to hear your experiences winning this contest. Don't let the 1 or 2 negative, skeptics keep you from sharing with the rest of us.

I am anxious to hear where you are staying, if there are any special/extra experiences added, etc..

:cheer2::woohoo::banana::cool1:

I would be beyond giddy if I won a trip to Disney. My husband thought he heard a car in our driveway this morning and I immediately thought it was a Fed Ex truck with a special delivery for me ;). It wasn't...

You're all going to have the most magical Disney trip!!! Congrats, again :)

My letter from them said they would choose an alternate if I didn't return the form or if I didn't call or email them to let them know it would be late

Did your original email state how long you had to respond until you were dsqualified?

We are planning to go to Disneyland if we win because we would never be able to afford the airfare on our own. But, that is going to be pretty difficult since I am a creature of habit and of course, want to go to WDW and stay in a Deluxe hotel which we will also never be able to afford. Wouldn't that be a wonderful decision to have to make?

Anybody from the west coast who has stayed at one of those hotels? Are they considered Deluxe? Which one would you pick and why?

The proximity of the Grand Californian to the parks is priceless. You can ride Grizzly River Run and duck into your room to change into dry clothes and be back in mere minutes. It's awesome. Even puts the monorail resorts to shame. Guess where I'm going when I win? :teeth:

We go to both dl and wdw pretty often and I asked my dd which one she would pick and she said hands down wdw. IMO wdw is a much more intense experience. I think it's because you are so immersed in Disney and not in the middle of a giant city. The sq footage of dl is nothing compared to all of the wdw parks. But then, if you've never done dl you should! I love it.

If you don't want to pay to extend the trip as awarded, DL is a better choice. You can do DL in 4 or 5 days. You can't do WDW nearly as thoroughly in that time.

Besides, they don't do free dining or have value resorts at DL. I'd rather pay for the WDW vacation.

Although..... I've stayed at the Grand Californian. Not sure I'll ever get to stay at the Grand Floridian unless I win it.

Oh the CHOICES in life.............. :faint:

Congratalations to all the winners. I have a question for the winners did you enter the sweepstakes at the exact same time everyday or at different time of the day

This is where my story differs - I never got an e-mail - I just got a fed-ex package a week ago (mine letter says Jan 3rd) I assume they just used my address from my booking WDW vacations online.

We have went back and forth - right now we are leaning towards DL. DH grew up in Cali and hasn't been back in years. We live close enough for us to drive (450 miles) to WDW - and we are going in a few weeks for an 8 day trip....

I have asked around and if we do go there we are going to try and add a few days hotel so DH can see family without cutting into park time and we are hoping to stay at grand californian hotel

That would be exactly my choice as well! It looks beautiful and the park view is amazing! :woohoo:

Good luck everyone! :)

Also thanks to the poster who posted the DCL contest. I actually remember playing the first edition of this game! It's so much fun to play each day! :cheer2:

I'm so excited for you and I don't even know you!

That's exactly how I feel, like some extended family member has won. So exciting :woohoo:

lol But it also makes me delusional thinking (feeling) like I'm going to win just because other people on dis are winners! :rotfl:

I am entering once a day via the website. I check my e-mail 3 times a day! lol Sometimes more.

I'm planning our first ever trip to Disney World (YAY!!) so if we win we will be picking Disney Land! :cheer2:
