I enter every day via text and when I can remember, I enter online too. I would pick Disneyland. I really enjoyed my vacation out there and love the weather.

If you are doing both, you are disqualifying yourself...one or the other...

I wonder if you'd be able to choose a 1br at at DVc resort? If so, I'd pick a 1br at blt.

I know we are all dreaming and having fun with this but the rules state "standard room quad occupancy" so I assume one of the basic hotels that sleep 4 to a room.

If and this is a big IF, I would pick DL just because we haven't been before and we are planning a trip next year out that way.

I assume it will have to be a basic room, no DVC villas or suites, but I don't think it will be limited to the resorts that sleep 4. Most of the WDW deluxes and all three Disney-owned DL hotels sleep 5.

Still trying to think positive about being a winner myself.... probably have jinxed myself out of it!
But have been checking emails, checking phone to see if any missed calls, checking front porch to see if FedEx had dropped anything off.
My mom was watching the girls this afternoon as I had a late job... I even told the girls if the phone rings and you dont' know who it is and they ask for me, pay attention and see who/what they are calling about and take down a number to call back.
So of course.. have jinxed myself out I feel.
Ever wait for someone to come over to your house to visit.... you look out the window, or sit on porch waiting for their car to pull up? Of course, they never arrive, 'cause you're sitting there watching/waiting for them.... minute you step back in the house for something for a quick sec... of course that is when they arrive.
Trying to tell myself okay, enter daily, but get over it this watching and waiting for news that I've won. If it happens, it will happen when I'm not expecting it!

We have trips planned for late June... and early November. Keep thinking yup, gotta hold out booking flights for november trip in case we win and win the flights, too.
Have talked a lot about DLR..... not sure could do that long flight with the kids, but we really have been wanting to go. The price out airfare out there, and cost of park tickets (we have WDW APs).... really makes if winning DLR to be a wise idea to finally do... as seems undoable otherwise.

It's likely we will. I know if I won and had never been on the DIS, I would be googling about winning the OMDD and this thread would come up!

fed ex came to my house yesterday... imagine my excitment. we were out, come home and see a fed ex slip on my door. I know neither my husband or i ordered anything at all. i got all excited and ran up, to read my 17 year old stepson got a replacement part for his phone. BOOOOO that sucked

OK. Thanks, everyone. I don't feel like a jerk now. I'm not in control of when they pulled my name, I just know that they did. You have made me feel welcome and I hope that this will be my 1st of many trips with my family. Hopefully I will become a veteran giving people tips one day

For those that are curious, I entered via the website. I never trust text entries for anything. Maybe that's my age showing.

Arbolita: Thanks! I am a veteran of Babycenter birthboards. I know how boards can be! It's just the nature of being able to be anonymous and/or not being able to fully articulate oneself in typed words. There are bound to be misunderstandings and bullies (not that anyone was a bully. It's just something that can easily happen).

Congratulations to all of the winners! As a long time sweeper, I will tell you that I am always excited when someone else wins! Even when it is not me, not only am I happy for you but I have more hope that I can win, too. It is also much better karma to be happy for others than to be mean and jealous

As to whether judging companies follow rules to the t - not always. There is usually some language written in that gives them latitude to make some adjustments as necessary.

Finally, to disqualifications for entering online and texting. While it is possible that it disqualifies both entries for that day, I have always read those type of rules as it disqualifies the additional entry. Sometimes people make mistakes, i.e. they don't think their entry went through online so they try the other way. I know that on online entries, I have sometimes forgotten entering a contest already for the day if I have had to leave the computer to do other things. I come back and enter again and get a sorry you have already entered message. I think it is pretty rare that a company will toss your first entry as well as the duplicate and think that people worry way too much about it.
