Nope. I've got our friends, the ones we are going to DL with in October, entering daily, and they aren't members of the DIS. Yet.



I got an email from Disney about the contest, sometime after it started, and that is when I started entering every day. I just flagged the email so it stayed at the top of my Hotmail account, and clicked on the link every morning for two weeks.



I am one of those post winning contest DIS members.

I'm a post winning DIS member! I found this link after winning because I googled Disney One More Day and found this. So glad I did, very cool!

I haven't read through all 232 pages of this thread so if this has been mentioned before, my apologies.
I told my wife that there had been 16 winners of the Disney Day contest from this board and she commented that with one winner a day and the winning drawings lagging a few days the percentage of winners for this contest from these boards is extremely high. Are DISers the only ones entering this contest?

YES, several of us came after we won. I was going a little crazy after I won (we didn't hear anything for a long time). So when I found the DIS I was hooked! I love this thread!

Debby! You are getting pretty close to 500! And even though I haven't won, I have really enjoyed making new Disney friends and living through those that have! I hope this thread keeps up or that I don't lose you gals on this site so I can continue to chat Disney with you!

I blame it on the weekend since no real news regarding trips or the contest come out then. Tomorrow it might pick back up. Hopefully after the contest, which is this Wednesday the topic won't die down anymore.

It's very easy to be optimistic when you're at the beginning/middle of a contest. As it nears the very end, it's kind of difficult to keep hope alive.

But, I'm still entering everyday. Probably won't win, but it won't be for lack of trying!

Oh my goodness, we can't be on page 2! I had to go grocery shopping this morning and take the boys to a birthday party this afternoon. DH asked me why I didn't get groceries this week. I couldn't tell him that it was because I was too busy posting on here. LOL!

So true. Tomorrow it will pick up. I did step away from the DIS today. It was a beautiful day here in Missouri so we got to spend some time enjoying the weather. I just can't beleive the trees are budding and its still February! We have had a crazy winter.

I remember I specifically told him that if he gets a call from area code 212 he should answer it. The morning he got the call he said he looked at the number and thought to himself "She told me I should get this call!" I'm so glad he answered!

I don't post on here that often, but I had a friend going to WDW in February so I was jumping on here every so often to find some info for her. I kept seeing this thread and couldn't figure out what OMDD meant. For a few days I didn't care enough (remember still nursing the stroller got stolen at DL wound) to open the thread to find out. Then one day curiosity got the best of me, I opened it and remembered hearing about the contest when it first started. My initial thought was why would I bother entering since there's no way I'd win and not winning stuff just kind of depresses me and we're DVC members. Then I saw that the prize included the $1000 gc, $500 shopping spree and airfare and I figured why the heck not!! Of course I won't remember to enter any other day, but I might as well today. Clicked the link, had trouble remembering my user name AND password so I "wasted" my time getting all of that info and finally was able to hit enter. Like I had thought, I of course did not remember to enter any other day and had actually forgotten that I had entered until FedEx showed up at my door and I read the letter!

I think once the majority of the winners received their itineraries, and we hit a stand still at gaining any more winners, the neccessity for posting died down. Now is the occasional story of fed ex truck stalking, positive vibes to the still hopefuls, planning updates and questions from those just now finding this thread.

I will say it is nice to step away for a full day and only have to catch up on one or two pages instead of 15, but I do miss the excitement!

Hopefully this week brings more passion back to this thread!

We need to have many more winners, me being one of them!
