I lost my camera and need a new one. I am hoping to spend no more then $100, (but would spend up to $200,) for a new one. I don't need anything fancy, but I do want a decent good working one that's not a piece of junk.

Any suggestions or know of any sales?

I love my Panasonic Lumix. I bought it 2 yrs. ago for $149. It's a point and shoot, very compact, and it does still pics and video (depending on how much room is on your sd card).

I don't ever need a 10 or 12 megapixal, mine is a 6 megapixal and it blows up to 8x10 very well. I usually just do 4x6 or 5x7 for scrapbooking.

I don't like the cameras that take AA batteries because 1- you go through them quickly and 2- it takes a long time to set itself for another pic, and I would miss some moments. the Panasonic Lumix has a rechargeable battery that last for a long time. On a week vacation, I charge it around day 3.

HTH!

I also have a Panasonic Lumix and love it. Very compact and takes great pictures.
