Man... I am so freaking tired! We went to the Y, because it was free nursery day! I love not having to pay for stuff. So I got a killer workout in, plus took the kids swimming for a couple of hours. I am loving that elliptical.. I burn a ton of calories, and it doesnt put any strain on my knees at all. However... when I get off I look like I am about to have a stroke. My face gets all red, and my hair is all frizzy.. Just like a beauty queen!

Awww... I look like that any time I do any kind of sweating. My face gets soooo red!

Well, I guess I'd better scoot to bed. DS7 has a week of basketball camp starting early tomorrow!

He's excited, but wasn't too keen on getting to bed early tonight for it. I had to explain that I'd be getting him up at 7:30 to get us out the door by 8:30 (I might be a little overly optimistic, since I used to get him up between 7 and 7:30 to be to school by 9.) He was still late getting to bed, but at least it wasn't too much fuss beforehand.

So run him off to camp, then a trip to Starbucks , then DS4's gymnastics class, then back to pick up DS7 by 11:30. Run, run, run!

morning ladies...I am up, and thinking about how much work my shower will be for the days events...our trip is 10 days away, (maybe 9 if we decide to fly out the night before!!!!)...I will know in the next day or two, which means if DH is wanting to do this I will have to get a fire going under him to get his letter saying he is an employee so we can book the room for the night before...I hate when he tries to mess up plans I have already made...makes me nuts..

So, Saturday night DH stood on the porch , no shirt, and was sporting his farmers tan, daring the kids down the street to move...he did it for hours, I sat with neighbor friend for a few and decided the world would have to live without me and went bed...didn't work, the noise kept me up.....

DH came in when it got quiet and went to bed..then the rockets started hitting the house...up out of bed he went ...told me to stay inside...yea, like i am going to do that...when I am told that I know I may need bail money...

THE IDIOT HILLBILLIES, were laying cannon shots (tube thingies) on their shot and sending them up the road....they were going under cars etc....My neighbors husband and DH were into it with them....I can't put on here what my DH said..(would get kicked off for life)....

Anyway, they quit....we all went to bed...Got up Sunday, did our Sunday running and came home, got in the pool (flippin cold water) and floated...next thing I know DH is snoring...so I thought well I better stay awake to watch him...nope, I didn't I fell asleep to and woke to firecracker brick...DH fell in the water screamed down at them (child without a father)...and I fell in the water laughing...he jumps out , walking as fast as his tender feet..(he is never without shoes) can carry him, yanks the phone off the patio table walks back to where he can be seen and calls police over illegal fireworks...(now I thought it was extreme but he was hot that he fell in water while asleep )...So there I sit, so I decide this called for a beer, got one, sat on pool deck where view was best, listened, laughed, shook head and waited...by this time DH is going off because the little kids are carrying up fireworks to everyones yards....neighbors husband told them to go back home with the stuff...and we watched as the police told them if he comes back one more time he is taking them all in....

Guess what happened last night...yea, more fireworks...now you know its being done A. because they are stupid, or B. to tick DH and Neighbor's Hubby off...It worked....I was to tired to get up out of bed...so i just told him call me if you need bail....he laughed, kissed my head and said oh we will all be getting sleep tonight....I am not sure what happened, I went to sleep and DH was gone for work before I got up....so I can't wait to hear this..

On the up note, my neighbor friend wants me to have some drinks with her tonight, she says she is getting me ready for my hula hoops at disney...she thinks she can mock the drink....DOUBT IT... but I will try 1....and we are going to grill and swim together....sounds like a fun day to me...I just thought of it, I will have to ask her what happened....

Life is not dull with your new nieghbors!!! Those kids are nuts! Too bad you didn't have a video on you, when your DH fell into the pool. Can't wait to hear the "rest of the story."

So what in the world is your nice nieghbor trying to make for you. Some drink from Disney that you llike? Hula hoops? Or am I why off track here?

Good Morning Hyenas!

Have a favor to ask of the California Hyenas. Can you please start using more electricity for a few days, crank up those a/c's??

It seems with our unseasonably cool weather (and accompanying wind) the windmill farmers have way too much electricity to sell back to BPA. Unfortunately our electric grids are getting overloaded, so they are now having to spill more water over Bonneville Dam to avoid making too much electricity. Spilling water over the dam is not good, because it kills more fish, in particular the salmon. Which I happen to think is quite tasty with garlic butter!

So I'm asking for your help. Leave your computers on all night, leave that radio playing, turn the a/c up just a bit (put a sweater on if you have to), better yet turn on the a/c and leave the windows and doors open (helps with global warming) . It's for an important cause!!

You should watch the CMT video. I love the part where they are standing at the altar getting married by Elvis. The lady standing behind Elvis and the groom are eyeing each other! What the song I think doesn't say is it shows her in Vegas winning a brand new truck on a slot machine. Think that's the reason he's marrying her!

The video is actually the beginning of "before he cheats". The truck she destroys is the one they win, and all the people are the same.

Wow. It's not often DH is speechless, but you did it, Shawna!

First he said, "Ummm... That's good to know, I guess... So, she does an Italian wax? Or what?" (He didn't know what a Brazilian wax was until I told him.) He says it's good that you shave your armpits, he's quite happy about that.

So today we had a girl day and we went and got a mani/pedi. I've already ruined my mani! This is why I dont get them very often. I just cant keep nail polish on to save my life. I have very long natural nails and the lady convinced me that I should flaunt what I got so to speak because most people pay for nails like mine and I should show them off. Well they sure are showing off with a nice chip in them!

Then we went to see the American Girl movie. Very cute. Morgan brought her American Girl and she just loved it. Everyone said how cute she was to bring her doll along to the movie.

Then we went to the mall to buy new tap shoes. Darned if those things aren't expensive. They are $79 but I have to replace them twice a season due to her growing so much. Ok I guess thats not a huge expense but when you have to keep buying them at such a young age they are. Especially when there are $19 tap shoes that she could buy but with the kind of tap she does and the ones the studio requires of course they are the expensive ones. She has sprouted a 1 1/4" in the past month! Standing at 57 inches tall.


Then we went to On the Border for dinner. Yummy. Looks like it was a mexican night all around.

Jake and Jeff laid around in their underwear and watched Indiana Jones movies all day. I guess they did hit the pool but mostly watched tv.

No laughing here, but your 7 yo DD is 3 INCHES SHORTER THEN ME

Good afternoon, hyenas!
Sunny and beautiful today in Seattle! It doesn't get much better than this!

Dragged both boys out of bed a bit earlier than normal (more like "school hours") to get on the road for DS7's basketball camp. He was a bit worried he wouldn't know anyone there (other than the coach's son), but there was a girl from his current baseball team, and at least two boys he's played basketball with, so all was well. He said he had a great time!

DS4 attended his gymnastics class this morning and had fun as well. Today he had a teacher I don't think he's had before, and she seemed to be really good with this age (3 - 4yos) and really good with him in particular. At one point I heard her calling his name, so I looked around for him. He was rolling across the big gym floor instead of lining up to work on the bar. She said, "Ohhhh no, {DS4} is going to miss his turn because he's not lining up!" and he stopped rolling and scooted over to the line.
