I bought the pattern for the girls dress today.. I found the cutest fabric for it.. It is a VERY dark purple satin, with black sparkly tulle.. Should be crazy cute if I can find the time to DO it.

I'm teling you, the stuff from the grocery store or out of a box is crap! You gotta try the real deal! It's quite tasty, and I don't even really care for garbanzo beans.

But I prefer the babajanoush myself, it's made with eggplant and is a bit darker and zippier in flavor.

Yep!! We got the pattern for Belles dress! I think I might add more fluffies underneath... It just looks like it will lay to flat. Joannes had the $1.99 patten thing again. I was going to get more, but didnt.

You will do AWESOME!! I am looking at more stuff to make for the kids.. Dh wants me to make a matching dress for myself.. But DEAR, that is a WHOLE LOT of fabric!

The bows are pretty easy to do i got my self a bow dabra and that makes it a whole lot easier ..

The reason I ask is because I'm (probably) going to buy my first machine soon. I know you sew a lot, so I was wondering how you like your machine, especially if you've ever had (or used) others.

I know Shawna bought a Brother also, but she's a beginner like me. The ones we used in the beginning sewing classes I just took were Husqvarna/Viking. That's the one the instructor recommended to me, but I am pretty sure they are at least one arm and one leg.
