Are there places to let my child meet characters in Epcot? I've been going for years but this is the first time as a parent and I dont remember ever seeing them there.

Yep... All over the place.

Near MouseWorks you can meat the classics - Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto.

Throughout the Word Showcase you will run into most princess's,
- Donald In Mexico
- Aladdin / Jasmine / Genie in Morocco
- Pooh and friends in England.
- Mulan in China
- Ratatouille in France
etc....

Yes! Epcot World Showcase is one of our favorite places for characters!

UK - Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Pooh characters
China - Mulan sometimes Mushu
Mexico - Donald in his Three Caballeros gear
Germany - Snow White and one of the dwarves
Morocco - Jasmine, sometimes Aladdin and the Genie
France - Belle and the Beast, Marie, Sleeping Beauty

We've also seen Pinocchio, and other Pinocchio characters at Epcot WS.

I think I've hit most of them - check Steve Soares entertainment site the week before you go for the current schedules.

Are the characters out in the open or do you have to really look for them in these places? Is Mushu fairly common? My DD has him as her #1 to see.

On our recent trip (just back 10/3). We hit Epcot on 9/24 and met

Mulan (China)
Jasmine and Aladdin (Morocco)
Snow White (no dwarf) Germany
Belle (France - beast wasn't out yet but he was supposed to come out a bit later)
Cinderella (France near bookshop)
Mary Poppins (England)
Alice (England)

Later in the trip on a Halloween party day we met Jane (from Tarzan) and Marie near MouseGears (shop)

We've met Mushu in China on previous trips but I don't know how common he is. You can ask at Guest Relations when he's supposed to be out.

Have fun!

We love epcot for characters!!

This past March we met the following characters at Epcot:

Chip/Dale
Timon
Mickey
Minnie
Goofy
Donald
Belle (in the blue storybook? dress)
Mulan/Mushu
Genie
Mary Poppins
Donald (3 caballeros)
Alice
Winnie pooh and friends

I think that is all.

Along with the World Showcase locations that everyone's been mentioning, there are also a few locations in Future World. The biggest is the Character Spot located in Innoventions. If you're walking through the Innoventions breezeway towards Soarin, it will be on your left. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto are usually here and you'll sometimes find a few random characters either at the exit or outisde between Club Cool and the entrance to World Showcase. Lately a few characters have also been appearing at the entrance to the park on the far right side before you get to Spaceship Earth. Last time I was there it was Daisy Duck and Stitch.

The characters are pretty much right out in the open. Many greet right along the railing/water in the country they are in. A few are further back in their pavilions - Donald is up a small walkway from the main path - but not at all hidden. We saw Belle/Beast/Marie inside the stores in France on a day it was raining. But generally, they are easy to find.

I was told that Mushu is no longer meeting guests in China, just Mulan. But maybe you will get lucky!

my turn for a list.. whee.

Daisy and Stitch have been regulars in the morning before Spaceship Earth, just past the leave a legacy area (on the right side - if they don't already have lines, they can be hard to miss, especially Stitch).

Character Spot is generally Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy. Just outside Character Spot, towards the Land, was where Chip and Dale had been moved to but hadn't seem them recently.

I also recently found Lilo and Max on the opposite side of the Fountain of Nations (the World Showcase Plaza side)

Mexico has Donald; China has Mulan; Germany has Snow (and perhaps her Prince, but Dopey no longer comes out as far as I know); Morocco has Aladdin and Jasmine (rarely the Genie); France has Belle & Beast, Aurora and Marie (she became a regular this past weekend); UK has Alice, Mary Poppins and Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore (in the back of the Toy Soldier)

Emile from Ratatouille is at Chefs de France, but you have to go inside the restaurant to see him. He appears tableside. ;)

When we were passing through the UK pavilion last month my daughter was confused to see Alice. She said "But I thought she lived in Wonderland?"

We also saw Aurora in France. We ate with princesses in Norway and Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale at the Garden Grill.
