Changing Reservations & ADRs

Although we will be leaving in less than 90 days, I checked and there is still one CRT dinner open during our trip. I really want to make our reservations today, so that I can make an ADR before its gone, but as of today there are only mods open and we really would like a value to save on money (we have a budget and will also be staying on the beach during our trip, so saving $1,000 would be great). So, if I book the mod and later change it to a value will my ADRs be cancelled too?

I asked when changing our resort ressie to AKV from CB. I was informed that the resort reservation has no effect on dining aside from the ability to book 90+10 days in advance. I did change my resort ressie Thursday and none of my ADRs changed.
