Does it now say something to the effect of "2A3C" (2 adults, 3 children) somewhere, and that is all the credits you are permitted to use at one meal? If so, is this on your room key? Or do you just have a "running count" of how many adult/child meal credits you have left that you can see on your receipt?

Help! I'm just trying to figure out how this works!

Yes, it says 2A3C right on your card. I think it's always been on the card, because that was the first tool they used late last year when they started trying to address the abuse.

The info on your party is also in the computer system now, and the computer will not let you get more than your allocation at one meal. The purpose of that is to prevent you from treating folks not on the DDP.

There was even some discussion that it would not allow you to get more than your allocation in one "meal period," but I don't know if that ever materialized or not. I don't think that "meal period" enforcement ever went into effect, and I can see it being an enforcement nightmare, so I hope it never does. But...if they get a lot of what they consider "abuse" by people making multiple trips through a CS line, for instance, maybe they will.

There was a pretty comprehensive thread started by a CM when the changes first went in -- which I think was Jan 1. People will tell you "I did this last September," or "I did this in 1907," but the landscape changed considerably recently and those anecdotes are probably not realistic any longer.

Also, keep in mind that the program is constantly changing, so even what we see today may not be the way things are tomorrow.
