Change Fee after full amount due date??

I booked a 4/3 package at the Beach Club. I need to pay in full by June 3. DH unexpectedly has to go to Paris for a work trip and I am going to tag along. Yay!! Our Paris trip will occur before our Disney Trip. I have been saving money for a year for our Disney trip and have enough to pay our Beach Club trip in full. I also had enough to pay (using my Disney fund money) for my plane ticket to Paris and hotel for extra nights in Paris that his work won't pay for.

So, my question is, after we come back from Paris, if I feel it would be nice to have the extra $600 that we would have if we downgraded to Caribbean Beach, how much would the change fee be since we already had to pay in full? I already downgraded from Beach Club concierge level to help pay for this unexpected Paris trip.

I have money for both trips, I am just worried that there will be unknown expenses in Paris that I am not counting on.

So if the change fee is on the order of $200, I might change before final payment is due just to have that extra $600 cushion for our trips. If the change fee is on the order of $50, I might wait until we get back from Paris and see where we stand.

I would just call and ask. They might need to check availability for CBR anyway, so why not get a "for sure" answer?

I think the change fee would be $50, but I agree with WTP to call and ask for sure. And since the 4/3 booking window is over, you will need to speak with Guest Services as they are the only ones who can change anything if there's still availability at CBR under the promo. If your package price increases and changes are made after your 45 day mark, Disney usually waives the change fee.....but since you would be decreasing the cost, you will most likely get charged. HTH .
