Celebrating my Un-Birthday Disney Style-April 2010-New 5/3 - The TR has started!

Woo-Hoo for a bonus!!!! :woohoo::woohoo: Jeff's comes next week and I'm still trying to sell him on a vacation of some sort! So awesome that you get to go back so soon!

Very cool that you were able to clear up the 9th person issue with the resort! I know how you feel...I hate to feel like I'm trying to be sneaky. Better to know right off the top.

Love the throwback pics as usual!

I hope you are able to work out your itinerary issues with Jeff and Karen. It must be tough to have your plans so dependent on someone else's. I'm sure you'll all come to a decision that works for everyone! :goodvibes

Hi Amy. Getting caught up since I have the day off. First off congrats to Tim for taking the plunge. I supported a co-worker who takes the plunge every year.
As far as the choices of where to stay-they all look beautiful. I think I like the Marriott Cypress Harbour the best though. It looks so roomy & bright.
And great news on the bonus:thumbsup2 My DH also got one this year. They usually get one every year but did not expect it this year with the economy so we were a little surprised. Great news that you are going again within the year:yay:

Bags-I just looked at the Sherpani bags. I love the Clover (I may order it) but not sure if it is roomy enough but I do not need to carry a lot of things so it may be ok. I also like the Qube but I'm with you as far as it hanging on the model like that. The one review states that they really like it. I know I'm not much help with your decision:) Let us know what you decide.

Thanks for supporting the Special Olympics!! The Plunge is such a fun way to raise money... easy for me to say! :rotfl:

I definitely love the look of Cypress Harbour the best, but the bed layout is causing me some concern... the guest bedroom has one bed, one pull-out sofa... :confused3 I'll post more about my choices soon.

I really like the Clover too - that's the first one that caught my eye. It's small so it would keep me from loading it up too much & making it heavy. But I don't know how different it is from the Hipster, which hurt my shoulders. :headache: But I guess any cross-body bag is going to be like that. I'm still working on that decision...

A possible Disney vacation in your future?? :rolleyes1

The 9th person issue was really bugging me, I'm so glad I called!

More DHS coming up this week!

I've stopped stressing about the itinerary... whatever happens, happens. Maybe it's because we're going back in February, but I feel like if Jeff & everyone all make it to Orlando, we'll do what the kids want to do! I'm sure some of that will be at Disney. And I won't be heartbroken if we miss our waterpark day. ;)

Fun look back! It took us most of our trip last year to start calling it DHS instead of MGM!

2006: Nothing… didn’t visit! This was the year we just took a short 3 day side-trip to Disney while we were visiting Jeff & family. We visited DHS (or MGM) but I don't have any pictures... I suspect it was a short visit. :sad2:

2007: In 2007 we fell in love with DHS. This was our first time to really explore the park with the kids. And on subsequent trips we've discovered ever more about DHS.

Unfortunately 2007 was the year we took Zach on ToT and he hasn't wanted to go back since! He says it's more about it being too loud than it is scary. :confused3 He says, "I have to listen to alll those girls are screaming!" Alex, on the other hand, fell in love with ToT and now it's not to be missed!

Up next: Looking back to DHS - 2008 & 2009!

Tot-It took me 3 years before my youngest DS & I tried it. I went on all the other thrill rides no problem but once I tried it I was hooked!! Love it!! My DH & oldest DS tried to get us on sooner but we had to wait until we were ready. Now I would ride it over & over again.

I'm doing really well. Starting to get into the uncomfortable part of the pregnancy with weird aches and pains, but I know that's just part of the territory. With each day, I get a little more excited! I can not wait to meet our precious little baby girl. We had our baby shower this weekend and it was great. We now have everything we need and more!

I will DEFINITELY be posting pics of the baby! As for the bump, it is HUGE!!! I don't know how it's going to keep getting bigger over the next 6 weeks!

highjack as I say :wave2: Hello to Julie...hope you are well friend and can't wait to "meet" you sweet baby soon! :goodvibes

Amy....

the 3 choices look all good...except where is Disney....:confused3 do me a favor whatever one you choose and get...have the boys make lots of pictures of the parks and characters before you go and hang them on the walls (a little tape can't hurt ;))

but I would pick which one is closet or which one has the best bedroom/sleeping arrangements for you all...

BTW...I just used the Disney dining online thingine for my Mom and booked her an ADR one her day trip on her b-day at Teppan Edo :thumbsup2

talk soon,

J~

The rest of us all love ToT... I hope we can get Zach back on this year... maybe with his headphones to cancel out some of the noise. :confused3

Cute! it is so fun to see the kids when they were smaller.

Thanks!! I love looking back at the really old pictures. :goodvibes

Hi Stranger! Seems like it anyways... How are things going??

Hijack any time! :thumbsup2

Thanks for your input on the condos... I think I have chosen already - I'll let you know soon! :rolleyes1

I like your idea of Disney-fying our off-site condo! I'll have to find a description of where they are in relation to Disney for you. They are all basically "just down the road"...

Yay for using the online ADR system - wasn't it cool!! :cool1: And double yay for Teppan Edo!!

I don't know if any of us will ever go on ToT. :rolleyes1 We're all a bunch of chickens. Well, except Sully.

:rotfl2: you must know me well...

how you understood what I was saying in that line....

I was typing and thinking faster I think...I was trying to post before leaving to get the kids from school...

and yes it was cool...nice to get a trail run before I actually get to use it for REAL in May for myself...

question for Teppan Edo...how many to a table normally? It will be my Mom and Dad and My Dad's sister and brother in law and extra cool...besides the 27th of March being my Mom's b-day it is my Dad's sister's wedding anniversary!

My Mom asked me to make an Epcot cheet sheet for her too....;)

things are busy...but OK...THANKS

I remember that lizard tattoo because Connor got one as well at DHS.

I have always loved DHS -- I think it is my love of movies, so I am always glad when I read that someone has fallen for its charm. :goodvibes

I knew exactly what you were talking about! ;)

The tables at Teppan Edo seat 8. Two on either end and four along the side (one side is just for the chef). I think they'll love it!! I hope I'm not disappointed when we eat there this year... because of my high expectations.

And do you remember how long those tattoos lasted? I think Zach still had his when we got back to NH several days & several swims later. :thumbsup2

There is something about DHS that's very magical in it's own way - maybe more glamorous... I think the music has something to do with it...

I remember going to DHS with my best friend when we visited in HS. We got to go without her parents and we just had so much fun walking through the park... what there was of it anyways.

It was DHS by 2008, right?
Our visit to DHS in 2008 was sooooo rainy...

::yes:: Connor's lasted so much longer than our henna tattoos did!

Not the lost wallet!!! Hopefully there will be no stories like that one this year!
