Celebrating Easter 2011 on the Magic

If I see an assigned room number, on my reservations, does that indicate that all hope for fairy dust is lost?

Our thread is very quiet. Just wondering if anyone knows the final FE headcount.

We ARE a very quiet group - considering we are sailing 4 weeks from this Sat! Our family is flying out the Friday before and know the next few weeks will be busy getting packed and all the final details (including surprises from the Easter bunny!).

I am looking forward to some quality family time - with work and 4 kids sports, school, etc. our days/weekends are crazy. Best part of vacation is no errands, no housework and NO cooking!! Last time we cruised, our kids rarely ate with us at dinner (we had late dining) - they preferred to eat earlier and head to kids club. DH and I have to admit it was nice to have a quiet dinner BUT we have already told the kids they are older now and need to at least have a nicer dinner 4-5 nights with us before heading to the kids' clubs. And I want them to see a couple shows - Villains and some of the other classics.

And looking forward to Mickey Bars from roomservice for the kid's little snack when we are all settling in for the night - the kids loved that we let them overindulge with extra treats while on the cruise!

What are you most looking forward to???

I'm looking forward to being able to just play with my kids and enjoy my husband's company without any of the stresses of everyday life. As a SAHM, I REALLY appreciate having the beds made and wonderful meals being served.
I am looking forward to my kids seeing the characters and the shows. All in all, its about enjoying the experience with my family.

I think that a cruise is just so perfect for families - always so much fun to choose from and food is just so easy and always accessible (and kid-friendly :)). Nothing is worse than eating at restaurants regularly while on vacation and kids order food but decide they don't like it or not hungry - or worse, when you order the $25 cheeseburger at the pool of a resort and it gets wasted.

Here's to hoping this crusie is as wonderful as our first experience:cheer2: I love to look at our Shutterfly photo book from our first cruise - such great memories and amazed my son that was just 3 at the time really remembers details from the trip. Family memories are forever!

I am REALLY looking forward to time without my blackberry and laptop where I can relax and enjoy what is important, my family :) I am eager to have this next business trip out of the way so I can really start planning. I am presently having planning anxiety.

For those whom have taken a Disney Cruise before, were you anxious about leaving your children in the camps/clubs? My son just turned 5 and has gone to childcare/preK since he was very little. Still, I am having extreme separation anxiety over leaving him in the club environment, and we are still a month out. :(

My yonger kids were 3 & 4 last time we cruised and I was impressed by the staff and fun activities. It is not as huge as you may be visualizing - and I had total confidence in the CMs. Plus you have a pager (or maybe wave phone has replaced that) so they can easily contact you if your child needs you. My older girls were 7 & 8 - and they could not get enough of the club - loved all the programming at night, especially. We spent the days together as a family so the kids clubs were mostly for the evening for DH and I relax together. On sea days, they did bug us to go some during the day.

If you have not sent me a PM for FE please send it. Include your email address and room number. You may also include your names. I plan on putting an email together tomorrow.

After a little over a year of anticipation this cruise seems to be sneaking up on me!! Lots to do before we set sail.

I am also looking forward to some quality time with my hubby and the kids. I hope they get into "vacation mode" and I don't have to deal with the arguing they have been doing so much of lately. They usually get along great on vaca.

Though we had late dining but cruise documents say main. Now have to decide if we should switch to late. Both of our excursions are early so I guess I could leave it. Have to look at navigators again and decide.

Our youngest was 5 when we went on our first Disney cruise. We were never nervous or anxious about leaving the kids in the kids clubs. I won't repeat the same things posted earlier about the CM's but I do agree. Plus, you can go check on your children anytime you want. You can just stop by and peak in to see how they are doing. If they are happy and engaged, you leave as quietly as you arrived and go enjoy your time.

Our kids have spent less time than others in the kids clubs. There weren't any problems, they just wanted to hang with us. Each family utilizes the kids clubs in their own way.

HUGE thanks to PixiePrincessMom for organizing our FE Group. It is a nice small group so easy to distribute and we can make the surprises a little nicer!!

I will post a pic if I can remember how - and if someone knows, can you post a refresher!
