We totally surprised the kids the first cruise in Nov 09- it was priceless to see their reaction! We kept this quiet until Christmas morning - I made a shutterfly book from our previous cruise and gave it to the kids with a note saying pack your bags for spring break - their big gift from DH & I. I always think the anticipation of a trip is half the fun - so I am enjoying my kids counting down for our flight out April 22.

Any others going to post a photo so we can recognize faces? Or maybe we can plan a meet & greet for our thread after boarding - seems we have lots of kids around same ages.

Just booked this trip last week!!!! My husband has terminal cancer and this is his "wish" trip. Sailing will be Myself, DH, DD(14) and DS(11). I am so excited to see there are other teen girls on board. DD will be excited. DH and I cruised with NCL 17 years ago. This will be our 1st DCL and kids 1st ever.

I didn't get to read all the thread but, what is up with this "fish extenders" thing?

I don't always go back and read the whole thread but I am most looking forward to getting away. Our older 2 got married last year and I have been needing a getaway. No cells, no tv, no computer...NO CLEANING...NO COOKING....KONK KOOLERS! Lemon Vodka sherbert shots at Palo...my dd is going to FLIP when she finds out....she has been saving to go back to Mickey's boat and Mickey's beach. She LOVES Mickey bars and has at least one a day in the parks and I am sure she will do the same on the boat....what the hey, it's DISNEY! We are leaving Thursday night and doing AK Friday/DDD, since I was skipping it after the cruise. We will do the rest after the cruise. I have been so preoccupied but it is going to creep up on us before you know it.

We ARE a very quiet group - considering we are sailing 4 weeks from this Sat! Our family is flying out the Friday before and know the next few weeks will be busy getting packed and all the final details (including surprises from the Easter bunny!).

I am looking forward to some quality family time - with work and 4 kids sports, school, etc. our days/weekends are crazy. Best part of vacation is no errands, no housework and NO cooking!! Last time we cruised, our kids rarely ate with us at dinner (we had late dining) - they preferred to eat earlier and head to kids club. DH and I have to admit it was nice to have a quiet dinner BUT we have already told the kids they are older now and need to at least have a nicer dinner 4-5 nights with us before heading to the kids' clubs. And I want them to see a couple shows - Villains and some of the other classics.

And looking forward to Mickey Bars from roomservice for the kid's little snack when we are all settling in for the night - the kids loved that we let them overindulge with extra treats while on the cruise!

What are you most looking forward to???

Glad Artmomdawn is joining FE group! So does that mean we are at 9 families/couples participating? Or have KANDC and FUNON2Ft not confirmed?

TGIF - flying out 3 weeks from today - woo hoo! We have 2 families we know boarding tomorrow on the Magic (our spring breaks are staggered in southern Cal) - I am jealous but then we still have our vacation to look forward to!

BTW - the new Disney movie, Prom, will be at the theaters April 29 - sooooo I think that means they will show it in our cruise! Looks like a cute teenie bopper movie!

I'm certain my 11 and 8 year old DD's will be thrilled if they can see that movie on our cruise.

We are spending the weekend in Gulf Shores, Alabama. In laws ade bere for the week and invited us. It's a nice get away but I can't wait to get to get that crystal clear carribean water!!

@pixie- We love Gulf SHores. I started going there when I was 6 months old and did not miss a year for 28 years....until I had a 3 month old! Now we alternate every other year or so! Have fun!

Can't wait til the 23rd though!! I got my luggage tags today...it's official!! YIPEE!

Hello everyone, we will be on the cruise as well. I try to stay off this site as much as possible but the closer I get I can't help it. This will be our 4th cruise and the second year in a row for the Easter cruise. It will be me, my DW, DS 16, and DD 14. I can't wait! There is nothing like hearing the disney cruise horn....my favorite!

Got a great fl resident rate on a gty 6a. No cabin assigned yet but it'll be okay. It'll be mself, my mom, and my 2 nephews, age 7 and 6. We will be celebrating the 7 yo birthday which is right before the cruise. It is coming up fast now. Can't wait.

Disney Nature African Cats comes out on the 22nd! I'm looking forward to seeing it while on our cruise.

Me too! I'm starting with my girls, then I'll do my husband and myself last. I was thinking about bringing most of our stuff on hangers in a garment bag to prevent wrinkles.
