That’s still not a lot. Right now a state like NY has been getting 98k doses a week (that was the last quoted number I had seen) which is nothing for a state that populous. 12-18M doses split between 50 states takes the 98k up to 200-300k a week, which is better, but not earth shattering. Once states are finally receiving multiple millions of doses per week we can finally say there isn’t a supply problem.
It was split up based on population size. According to the news articles my state with nearly 3 million people gets 1% of the nations supply allocated to them. The news article however said that there have been times when we've been given less than anticipated supply sometimes by 50%.

Yes testing standards by WHO have changed in the last day or so. This confirms what many suspected all along...many false positives. No surprise here! We are likely to see more revisions in the near future. Wonder if they will change the criteria for Covid Deaths?
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner has been keeping a separate tally of deaths of those with COVID and those from COVID. The difference is about 20%.
United Airlines just announced they're considering mandatory vaccinations for all employees.
They aren't the only business seriously looking at that policy.
Good news!
I find it reprehensible that a company is even considering making an experimental medical treatment a condition of employment. Beyond the medical privacy issues, there are some serious concerns about possible long term side effects that we just don't know the answers to yet. Many young female health care workers in my area are refusing the vaccine over possible fertility side effects. If they attempt it, it will get brought into court. What happens once it's there sadly probably depends on who appointed that specific judge.

Nobody is forced to work there.

Companies have all sorts of requirements for employment. This is nothing new. It's understandable if they don't want covid-19 spreading to their workforce and clients.

There is science based information available about the vaccine. This is a helpful link. Women did become pregnant during the Pfizer trials. I am so thankful for all the vaccine trial participants.
They will continue to study participants.

110%. We are really just making this so much harder than it needs to be.

And not just with vaccines, but also with masks. And because it's become an issue of which "side" you're on (which is so incredibly stupid), mask wearing is now being called out. I was texting with my two sisters a little while ago. My sister lives in Chapel Hill NC, she was out walking in her neighborhood with another neighbor earlier today. They were wearing masks....passed a guy who legit made fun of them for wearing masks, and called them "sheep". My sister said he was aggressive. He circled back around and my sister held up her phone and threatened to call 911 and he backed off. She lives in an upscale neighborhood...said she'd never seen the man before.

My other sister responded that my *13* year old nephew had a similar experience yesterday. He was out riding his bike with a friend...both wearing masks. An older couple pulled over to *yell* at them..."take off your masks, take off your masks!!"

Nobody in my family has experienced any kind of behavior like this until now.

I hope you realize it's already been said a gadzillion times over that legally speaking companies can do this, Fauci has even discussed this multiple times in regards to a federal mandate vs business mandate. I'm not disagreeing with your viewpoint on it, it's your viewpoint and I can understand concerns, but you brought up court proceedings. Of course people can attempt to sue, who knows what the outcome will be, but at this point it's been talked about for months and months already regarding business.

There may not be a supply issue according to some reports, but there sure is a massive logistics problem.
And we are right back to the critical importance (at least in the short term) of assistance from military logistics.
I never thought the nurse/national guard issue was all that important. Most communities have retired but able nurses.
Tracking and assisting with moving vaccine supplies and equipment needs to be done efficiently. Mil logistics pros are skilled in getting this work accomplished on time.

It's going to take a team approach.
Obviously canceling vaccinations because of supply shortages is not good.

I don't disagree, but West Virginia has done it almost entirely with pharmacies. They already know how to give vaccines and it's working.

Can you imagine those California officials- the most arrogant people on earth- going to lowly West Virginia for help???

lol...it is pretty funny. West Virginia has done really well with respect to the entire pandemic response from what I've read.

The federal and state governments should be relying more on corporate America to help. I know in Washington State, they are consulting with my husband's employer....Starbucks, because well....they know how to move product around to a zillion stores....efficiently. I think they're also consulting with Microsoft. I know I read that Honeywell wanted to help in NC. These CEOs are getting annoyed at seeing how poorly the whole operation is being run...and they want to help. Let them help.

A thousand times yes- Amazon wrote a letter directly to Biden ASKING if they could help.

I don't disagree either.
But some areas may need more help and/or mass vaccination set up.

Most definitely. Here's an example: a local community here in NE Ohio got a bunch of doses yesterday. So this morning, they just set up in a parking lot. Police directed traffic, firefighters did the vaccinating. Prove you're over 75, get a shot, wait 15 minutes, drive home.

They just did it until they ran out of shots.

And now states apprehensive about using National Guard, and I'll be clear in whatever capacity they need them to, because of costs will get 100% reimbursement. Before it was 75% reimbursement. I know during this time while my state has been under a State of Emergency it was warned if they let it lapse then $17 million dollars that the Federal government is paying for the National Guard to be used in distribution of COVID testing, PPE, etc and aid in testing sites would fall back on my state...you know the one with a large enough deficit.
