Booked a 7 night western on the fantasy for next August and am so chuffed as have got a 7690 which has the oversized verandah! Has anyone had this cabin before? Any tips or advice please?

We booked this room for February next year. I'd love to know any info on the noise from engines and if there are loungers on the veranda

Yup, stayed in 7690 last July. Loved it, now totally hooked on the whole 5E thing. The room location is really ideal, the oversize verandah is plenty big, although actually one of the smaller in the 5E category, but still, huge by comparison to any verandah on the sides. I recall one lounger and two chairs, one or two small tables. Engine/thruster noise may be an issue for some, but only recall that while pulling into port, so really no big deal. We stayed in 10662 last week on Fantasy. Some rumbling first night and coming in and out of ports. But nothing too distracting. Great view backing into CC. Booked the same room for next year. Deck 10 Aft was also great for running up to Cabanas for breakfast.

We did deck 9 05E on the Fantasy last May. I'm glad we did it but wouldn't again. The vibrating kept me awake on the first night. We sailed the exact same itinerary in September in an 04E and I much preferred that. Still had an oversized verandah but not the crazy vibrating. I also thought the location was more convenient for us than full aft.

It truly is a preferential thing. Some love it. Some don't. Never know til ya try, right?
