Our family will be staying in a Category 4 stateroom when we cruise this October. I was "Wonder"ing if anyone has any recommendations as for which room we should request?
Also, do all the CAT. 4 rooms have pull-down beds?
Thanks for any and all information.

Hiya Coach~ We had cabin 8010 on our last "MAGICal" cruise! It was great! It is very fore (towards front) but we had no complaints! Cat 4's are GREAT!!!!! Extra room really makes a difference. our room had pull down bed. I think all cat 4's do. Have a wonderful trip!!!!

I believe that all Category 4 staterooms are the same and that all of them will accomodate 5 people.

They have a queen bed that can be split into two twins.
They have a sofa that converts into a twin bed.
They have a pull down berth located above the sofa that is a twin.
They have a Murphy Bed that pulls down from the wall and is a twin bed.

When you use the sofa as a bed and the pull down berth, the cabin steward will make them up for you and they will be like a bunk bed, with a ladder and railing for the top bunk.

Before anyone can really suggest a particular cabin, you would need to consider what things are important to you that would help narrow down a location. Some things to consider:

Forward
Midship
Aft
close to an elevator or not
easy access to Mickey Pool (aft) or the Spa (forward)

Without knowing any of your preferences, I'd have to take a middle of the road approach and suggest a cabin in the midship area, such as 8x36 to 8x56. Cabins that are in the 8000 range are on the Port side and cabins that are in the 8500 range are on the Starboard side of the ship.

I have stayed in cabin 8026 and we enjoyed it there, the location was just fine for us.

hope that helps

Our family of 4 stayed in Cabin 8500 on our Magic cruise in March. There was PLENTY of room for us and all of our stuff. We loved the verandah and the pull down bunk bed for the kids. We would book the same again. Have fun!

Hey LynetteSC, wasn't 8010 great!!! We had that cabin last July - had a great view of docking at the ports. We wanted to experience the other side on our next cruise (Western) so we have cabin 8510. It's a great location because it's directly under the very-well carpeted and quiet spa. As an added "perk", being up that close to the bridge look-out, you can watch from the verandah the captain and his staff doing what they do best - guiding the ship in and out of the docks.

I thought this was a great location. The spa was above us so we didn't have any problems with noise. It was also handy for getting to the spa and to the pools. The elevators were very close by. I would recommend this area of the ship...

All category 4 rooma are terrific. We have been on 2 cruises and our married children and their families stayed next door to us both times, once in 8528 and 8526 and the other time in 8028 and 8026. These rooms were great and the location was IDEAL.

Thanks for all of your help.
We ended up getting cabin #8008. It seemed the best of the 10 or so that were left to pick from.
We are very psyched.
