I'm new to this thread, so excuse me if this has already been said, but I watched some of the trail the other day, and that judge.... he doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed. Listening to him talk for just 5 minutes gave me a head ache! Hope he (and the jury) does the right thing here.... Can't wait till this is all over - I've been following this case since before it was a case!

Wow! I respectfully disagree because I think that Judge Perry is brilliant. He does, probably purposefully, talk rather folksy. That may lull some people into a false sense of security, but undoubtedly plays well with juries.

I think he has a razor sharp mind, and is demonstrating that in this trial. Judge Perry is a very pro-death penalty judge. His record is fantastic and his decisions have seldom (if ever) been overturned, IIRC.

I think that Casey is guilty. Those 31 days and the lying, the fiction, the "kidnapping" etc. -- she is just not credible. It broke my heart to see her Dad on the stand this morning. I couldn't stomach the p.m.

I, personally, do not like the death penalty, but I'm fine with Life Without Parole for people like Casey. I'm watching this trial to see *how* Florida makes that decision -- because I refuse to believe that Casey the Sociopath will walk away scot-free from this one.

But then OJ got acquitted in the criminal trial.:sad2:

IMO---No KC--They haved been to "visit" her in jail so she hasn't been prepped

I'm hoping she does because I'd like to see her get some grief from JA but I don't see it happening.

As for CA if defense does wrap up tomorrow then the rebuttal portion starts immediately so we may see an "ASH-kicking" directed at CA

(Love that btw!)

One lawyer just said that if Casey doesn't testify and can get either a mistrial or the case overturned due to ineffective counsel (which I don't think can happen), she can come up with a completely different scenario for the next trial since she's not bound by what Baez said in his opening statement.

That's awful. It's obvious that she supported what he said, but since it looks like that may not play out too well, she could get a chance to think up a better lie. Grrrr....

Yea, I don't see the big deal with that either. I didn't go until I was 20 and about to get married. My DD is 18 and she has been once to get the "one less" shots a couple of years ago but that was it. Like anything else they come up with to throw us off..... NEXT!

At age 19, an adult woman is capable of finding her own OB/GYN and make an appointment for herself. Why did Casey need her mommy to do this for her!? As I said before, if Casey could manage to get herself knocked up and buy a pregnancy test at the drug store, then she could manage to find a doctor, make an appointment, and start going for prenatal care.

wow. made it up to page 160 so far...you guys were very very chatty today.

I really think Sonny Hoston (in sessions) has lost her mind. George threw ICA under the bus?????

I can't believe someone would say something like that...he threw her under a bus because he didn't lie for her??? whatever.

It seems like when the defense doesn't have anywhere else to go, they go right back to the gas cans and duct tape. I wish someone on the prosecution would ask a question pointing out that logically everyone in the Anthony household had access to that duct tape. I don't know why the defense thinks that's such a big indicator of guilt. I don't know about the rest of you, but at our house everyone that lives here has access to the same duct tape. . .scotch tape. . .staples. . .foil. . .you get it!

LOL. The only thing everyone in this house knows not to touch is my chocolate stash.

There was a lunatic screaming at Judge Perry as he walked to lunch. Saying he tampers with juries. The #VelvetHammer kept strolling. Smooth.

With the hype and emotions of this case, I hope everyone stays safe.

me too....there are too many nut jobs out there

See. I thought with the discloser it was going to be one of those polls..

'if none of your friends would ever know, would you consider going on a date with Jose Baez?'

:)

gag

I think someone earlier mentioned the wink KC gave JB as he dad was getting off the stand.

It happens at about 14 seconds in

Did you notice how smilie and flirtie she was with bozo at the end? disgusting.

did you know that on a jail visit Baez brought her some licorice nd as they were on each side of the glass with a hole Baez put a piece of licorice through the hole and they were each chewing on it and hit the glass I am guessing that was a kiss.:scared1:

gag for the second time

I think Baez is a little frustrated?

ya think??? :lmao:

Very good point....

The DT are supposed to finish tomorrow, how are they going to prove the 3 things they alleged in their opening? To my mind I don't think they've even started to prove even a single one? I must have missed something

They haven't shown anything because there is nothing to show.

Caylee is crying for her grandpa.:sad1:

awwww:sad1:

Baez absolutely HAS to discredit Ray Kronk any way he can! He has already blown it with George Anthony, so all he has left is Kronk. I cannot believe this guy passed the bar exam!

I can't either

Ashton is doing the objecting so he will be doing the cross :cool1:

A traumatologist....wonder who came up with that title. I love how she got her job...I was at FSU looking for a degree program and they said they were short a faculty member and asked me if I wanted the job :lmao:

I would like to declare myself a disologist...I study all things disboards, with a concentration on the community board, specifically those threads dealing with incompetent lawyers, ridiculous grief counselor testimony and blaringly guilty defendents. :thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao:

I just got done seeing GA. Oh my...I think he is just broken. One of the guys on HLN news said that we saw him go from an ex LE person to a grandpa. So true.

OK - my "rebuttal":
She didn't know what to do with body. Borrowed shovel from neighbor and thought to bury it under the playhouse. Came across the layer of stone/whatever and knew that wouldn't work. Body was on ground while she attempted to bury it there.

Not familiar with the movies she rented, although I'm sure that info is on PAGE ONE. So, I can't comment there and am not in the mood to look on page one.

Using a bottle of bleach didn't dawn on Casey. Covering it up with garbage was easier and took less thought. Plus, the bleach would've altared the color of the carpeting in the trunk and might've looked more suspicious?

I don't think she buried body in backyard. JMO. However, I will give you duct tape for bodily fluids, however, I think it also added to and aided her nanny kidnapping alabi, kwim?!

Yes re. Zanny the Nanny. How convenient and lucky! And, kind of premeditated? Didn't she mentioned a nanny when Caylee was still alive? Wasn't it after Caylee "disappeared" that she named Zanny the Nanny? Or, even if she mentioned Zanny by name before Caylee "disappeared", boy, did she get lucky finding that card at Sawgrass!

Finally never had a youtube video pop up ... that's because youtube videos don't pop up!!

I agree with you, if I am not mistaken didnt the neighbor say he watched her drive in the garage when she came home? She backed in. Well she could not have drowned. She borrowed the shovel from someone else so that way ( so she thought ) there would be no evidence on theirs. When that did not work she put her in all those bags and put the gatorade bottle and the syringe in the bag and put Caylee out in the woods along with the bag. The phone calls were to make sure no one was home when she arrived. No telling how long the duct tape was gone. And then she went on her way to meet tony and thought no more about it until someone started questioning her. Her tattoo will have a new meaning for her in prison. I dont think she will get the death penalty. Casey is not bright, nor out wit anyone because if that were the case she wouldnt have been caught. She has caused so much pain not just in her family, but around the country. So many people are emotonally involved. Some day I hope reality will sink and realize what she has done and have remorse.

I also hope for George and Cindy they can come together and want to heal and get counseling for this. The same goes for Lee.

I've had a splinter for about 4 or 5 weeks, and I must go get it taken care of! But I know if I go, you all are going to talk too much and I'll have to do a lot of catching up!!! :upsidedow
Just back...no splinter! :confused3 LOOKS like one, feels like one. But doesn't show up on the xray. However, I now have an awesome xray of my hand giving the finger. :lmao: (The allegedly but apparently non-existent splinter is in the middle of my middle finger.)
Can't you download an app to get rid of your splinter?
I wish! I was thinking on the way home of all the apps I could've gotten with that $25 co-pay.
:lmao: I left for an hour to take my DD to cheer and I came back to catch up on 10 pages!!:rotfl2:
I'm very grateful things were relatively quite here while I was gone!
Its getting closer and closer to the end and Im sitting on the edge of my seat. I can't wait to see what the State does on rebuttal! You think my husband and kids will be upset if I don't want to do anything this 4th of July except stay home and watch>

Anyone else going to be following Ashton and LDB's cases after this trial? I know I will!!
I would love to! I'm going to miss JBP, Ashton, LDB, and Mr George. :(

Kids will be here for the 4th. They know where to find me. ;)
Who is this blond woman on Issues right now? I want to smack her! I have felt like that a lot lately. :rotfl2:
Linda Kenny Baden? The GOOD thing about her is it makes it easier to get through the HLN night time shows...I FF through her.

Judge Perry is highly respected and admired. I didn't take to him immediately myself, but I think the world of him now. But...to each his own! :confused3
You know, I know that Casey should not take the stand however, I think she is so sure of her self and so sure that she is believable I think she may just do it. I bet she thinks she can hold her own against JA. I would love to see her try, but he would chew her up and spit her out! I am wondering if this is why they did the competency testing last week.
I bet she thinks that she fooled Yuri for a while, and I think she thinks she can pull of holding her own enough to fool the jury.
I just saw yet another talking head comment on the fact that the CA hadn't taken ICA to the gynecologist until she was 19 and pregnant. They keep harping on that like it's just unheard of. Maybe I was the oddball, but I didn't go until I was 21 or so, and my daughter went for the first time when she was 21. I don't think everybody runs to the gyn when they turn 18 (or earlier) - some yes, but I just don't see why they're making such a big deal out of it. I understand that they were in denial that Casey was pregnant, but the fact that she didn't go to the gyn by the time she was 19 just isn't that big of a deal to me. :confused3
Me neither. Apparently tho, there are a whole slew of neglectful mothers out there, including me, who didn't march their DDs off to the gyno in their teens.
Oh just the OPPOSITE!!! Super smart...

I too want a I LOVE JUDGE PERRY t-shirt!:thumbsup2
Go JBP!!! :cheer2:

The gyn no big deal, but it does bother me that she did not see a dr. during the time she was pregnant. I went to Oklahoma for the first time in 07 to meet his family and his half sister was 6 months pregnant and had not yet seen a Dr. I was in shock.

Keep in mind that they were in denial. They did take her after they found out she was actually pregnant.

Bomb Shell tonight.... Has the father been found? Watching Nancy Grace!

A woman from another state is trying to get a grandparent DNA test done in Orlando but no one will give her one yet. She says that he son dated Casey and that he told her that he and his girlfriend were going to have a baby girl. Her parents were George & Cindy. He was killed in a car wreck in Fl.

Maybe this is true, but why would it take her 3 years to come forward?

Yeah, because all this information has certainly been available. Hard to say, I guess.

Right, and they keep talking like Cindy was a bad mother because she hadn't carried her. I just don't get it.

Doesn't matter if the parents were in denial! There is no reason that Cindy & George should've taken Casey to an OB/GYN when they found out she was pregnant! As an adult woman, Casey should've taken care of that stuff herself. Ridiculous that they're putting this on Cindy & George!

At age 19, there is no excuse for her not knowing that you get prenatal care when you're pregnant and not doing it on her own. I don't care that she didn't have money - there are free clinics. Obviously, she didn't care. If she did, she would've gone to an OB/GYN the minute she discovered she was pregnant.

And are we to believe that Casey hid her pregnancy from her girlfriends? They were probably the first people she called when she found out. You can't tell me that she couldn't have gotten the name of an OB/GYN from them or went to the free clinic or planned parenthood.

I know its far fetched, but I'm watching Nancy Grace and this woman believes that her son is Caylee's bio father. Looking at his pic I swear, he looks alot like Caylee.

Absolutely. I've known of 15 year olds who got themselves to a gyn. People need to stop making excuses for Casey.

Bombshell tonight! NG says she has Caylee's other grandmother on the phone. Apparently, this lady's son has also died tragically. Will we ever find out who Caylee's dad really is/was?

Blamed missing child on Zanny the Nanny.Got her name from sawgrass apt.

Zenaida Gonzalez viewed an apartment on June 17th, 2008. "Zanny the nanny" was first mentioned around August 2006.

A lot of people think the Zenaida Gonzalez reference ties into a place where Casey knew when she was young. A place by Suburban Drive.

The picture below shows neighbors on Hopespring drive with the last names of Zenaida and Gonzalez. The purple mark indicates where Caylee's body was found.

Judge Alex was commenting today about ineffective counsel. He said one thing to remember is that they would look at the entire trial when determining ineffective counsel. If Baez, CM, et al made some good points, called some proper witnesses, made objections, filed motions, etc. they will never declare ineffective counsel. He said even the prosecution has made mistakes, hasn't objected at the correct time, hasn't always asked enough or the best questions. Nobody is perfect. If you had a team of attorneys that never cross examined anyone and didn't call any witnesses, now you have ineffective counsel. He says no way will that ever get declared in this case. Hope he's right.

Yes - Zanny the Nanny was mentioned as just that in 2006 -- Zanny the Nanny with no last name. If I'm not mistaken, Casey didn't give Zanny a last name until the police needed one to look for her. How convenient that there was a card for Zanaida Gonzalez in the Sawgrass office. And, how convenient that there were two neighbors with those last names so close by.

Where did you get this information? If this is true, it would explain a lot!
