Casey Anthony NOT GUILTY & Sentencing Thread 6

Going back over those pictures I can't for the life of me figure out why the prosecution didn't enter those into evidence((not that the jury would've paid attention to it))

I mean the gatorade bottle with the chloroform and the syringe of chloroform and her diary entry from June 21st.

All that could've gone to connect her to Caylee's death

Because there were doubts about those pieces of evidence. The diary entry most likely was from 2003, not 2008. And the bottle also had testosterone in it, someone saying it was probably leftover steroids. There was an awful lot of garbage (or is that trash? ;)) back there, not all of related to the case.

Remember the case of Danielle van Dam - the 7 year old who was taken from her bedroom and murdered several year ago in Calif? Her body was too decomposed for a cause of death to be determined, but her neighbor down the block is now on death row for her murder - because they found the little girl's DNA in his mobile home. They didn't have much more than that. For me, that is a compelling piece of the puzzle - in the absence of a smoking gun - and I was hoping for something along those lines to be presented in this case. Unfortunately, they just didnt have it.
I know nothing about that case, but all that means is that she was in his mobile home. Doesn't mean he murdered her. :confused3

Local news announced that he will retire at the end of the week. If anyone is interested, he will be on The View tomorrow.
Thanks for the info! I set the DVR.

A lurker here from threads 1-5... but, now I'm really confused.
Just wanted to say that I love your screen name. :goodvibes

I will be on the Big Brother thread too, I need some senseless silly stuff in my life after this :goodvibes.

I need the silly stuff too! See you at the BB thread! :goodvibes

wow - enough of us on the BB thread LOL

oh how our lives twist around each other LOL
:lmao: Can't wait to discuss BB with you. :goodvibes

I really hope the real Zenaida Gonzalez wins her civil suit against ICA for a huge amount. It would be nice to see any money Casey gets from the book deals go straight to Zenaida.
:thumbsup2

I have to admit that I have never seen Big Brother. Not too sure what the show is even about. When does it start and is there a link to the thread? I think it would be fun to hang out with you guys on another thread.
You should join us! Big Brother is a show on CBS. It starts Thursday. Very addicting!

::yes:: ... I couldn't believe what I was hearing from this alternate juror :sad2: ...
I couldn't either...I was yelling at my tv!

I want to know more about the jurors.
Me too!

Hey Mare!!! I think we have something else for the FIRST POST! :thumbsup2

First - I need to know how to hide someone on the DIS. 8 years here and I have never wanted to hide someone, until now.

How can you put someone on ignore?

Go to your User CP

On the left hand side under "Settings & Options" Click "Edit Ignore List"

Type in the name of the offense poster and click "okay" :goodvibes

Will also work to click on the user's name, then View Public Profile. Click on the User List tab and choose "add to ignore list."

It's just a little more instant. :thumbsup2

Good try, but LisaR's Kronk Theory was funnier. ;)

I'm starting to feel really guilty for writing that scenario now. It seems that a dozen or so jurors accessed The Dis when they were sequestered, read my attempt at humor, and took it seriously. :sad2:

Fair enough. But watching that trial, the prosecution convinced me of his guilt. Circumstantial evidence included with at least some physical component was compelling evidence of his guilt to me.

But wasn't that diary only produced after 2004 or something? Still, this jury wouldn't buy that. And I swear, Casey is so cagey, I can so see her writing that with a different date.
OBJECTION!!!! It was MY Kronk theory!!!! Lisa's dialogue. Do I need to provide the evidence yet again!?!?!?

What's a girl got to do to get credit around here!?!?
Tell me who you used to be? ;)

Actually, Lisa wrote the dialogue, which was funny. I didn't know how it came about. Sorry!

Well said. Physical evidence linking Casey directly and/or a cause of death she could be tied to is what I was hoping to see.

The car? Casey was gone from June 16 to July 15 with the car of death. During this time period only one person knew Caylee was dead. Everyone else was told a different story about where Caylee was (not dead or missing). Casey was hiding Caylee was dead. How does that not connect her to the death? The car was Casey's and she abandoned that b/c it smelled.

Caylee's cause of death listed on the death certificate is "homicide by undetermined means". Based on evidence.

The main point, and I'll say it again, is that she lied and said Caylee was alive and all was normal for 31 days, then the story changed to the imaginary nanny, but still alive. She hid the death and did that all by herself b/c everyone else thought Caylee was alive.

That was a horrible, horrible case. They also had her little handprints against the wall over the bed in the RV. And he had very horribly graphic things on his computer not of her but of little girls, I will never forget hearing the audio on court tv. That was a sad case.

LisaR, banished from the ICA DIS thread for contributing to injustice which occurred today. ;) But it's almost not funny, because from the sounds of it, the jury would see it and be thinking "hhmmm...the prosecution didn't prove it DIDN'T happen that way!"
Look what I found at the Miami Herald Live's twitter:: Christina Baez (Jose's daughter) post on Facebook about the verdict:

Well, isn't she special! What's that about the apple not falling far from the tree?

Thanks! I'll put THAT in the first post!
Charming! i wonder if BOZO was the one who really wrote it. I'm still getting over how he Saved a life today statement.:rotfl:
Oh, that was so special. *insert puking smilie here*

Yes. I remember specifically the prosecuter asking the girl's mother if there was a sign, nameplate, anything on Danielle's door that would let an intruder know that it was a little girl's bedroom. When she said yes, that hit home with me and I immediately took the cute signs off of my kids' bedroom doors.

the state failed to even really propose a case and in all other regards, failed completely. IMHO the tax payers of FL should do anything legally possible to remove all those in the DA's office that worked on this case from their positions.

Really? So if I have to handle a case in which the evidence is thin, I should face losing my job if the verdict comes back not guilty? Should we just not prosecute those cases? We work with what we're given and as I prosecutor I am offended by your attitude.

There is a reason why so many iffy cases go to trial. Those with lock solid evidence are resolved before trial. The cases that go to trial are those with 1) a legal issue, 2) a factual issue, or 3) a sentence on the table that the defendant wont accept and therefore rejects a plea agreement.

That case has stayed with me, he was such a monster but nobody would have thought it by his job, home, money. They really tried to trash the parents and put the blame on them, I felt so bad for her mom, her name was Brenda I remember that as well.
