DH and I have requested a King Room, any idea where we could end up? I am really hoping for first floor.

I'm sure that the answer is in here somewhere but I don't have time to weed through 194 pages, although I would love to.

Cool! Did you request a certain area?

No I havent should I :confused3 Do I just need to call into the resort to do that?
Well, I am certainly no expert compared to many people on here, but from the research I have done I have learned that it is a huge resort and that asking for a specific building or getting a preferred room is a smart idea. I have seen many people asking for Jamaica which I guess is a fairly reasonable walk to the themed pool and food court. We did the preferred room thing just to be sure. Yes, you can call and request a location, but from what I understand it is not a sure thing, although it does seem like most people get there requests or report getting them.

You can't call the resort. But you can call Disney's reservations line and have a request noted on your reservation.

You could be anywhere in the resort except for Trinidad South.

What bldgs are considered prefered? We were going to do the pirate rooms but we will have my parents with us and less of a walk would be nice for them. thanks nettii:goodvibes

Oh yes, that is what I meant...I guess I always assume everyone is calling the reservation line and not the hotels..thanks!

Does anyone know about the Dining Plan.

I was thinking about getting the Quick Service Plan. We are staying at CBR in July and was wondering do you get an entree and dessert for each credit?

Does the Quick Service include everything on the menus at OPR?
or are the certain foods that are part of the Dining Plan?

Anyone know what kind of desserts that have that are included?

I have never stayed at CBR, but at Pop Mickye Bars and other icecrams are included as desserts too. Pop also has an icecream station with sundaes and such that can be dessert or snack too. I don't think CBR has an icecream station, but I assume all Mickey bars and stuff are sold there as well.

I am considering trying CBR this trip. Just trying to figure out which section to request. I understand which rooms are the preferred and which section has the pirate rooms, but what is consider to be a waterview room? Could I be in Barbados? I don't think I want that far of a walk. So is preferred or waterview rooms worth the extra $?

I remember seeing a soft service ice cream station at the very end of the food court by Shutters during trip last year but I cannot remember if I saw it in August? You can go to the quick stop and pick up a dessert in there too! I got krispie Mickey bars for my dessert. My son got Divies since he has food allergies...a whole bag of caramel popcorn...nut free for him!:cool1:

I wouldn't ever pay for a water view at the CBR (or any Disney resort for that matter) as Disney's idea of a water view is a bit construed. You could be looking at a pool or a body of water. Definitely not worth it in my book. However, if you want to be guaranteed a room near Old Port Royale (main pool, food court, arcade, etc.), then I'd say use the money to book a preferred location.

Facing the food stations the ice cream station is on the far left. It had vanilla, chocolate and swirl. There was choc and butterscotch topping that you could put on the ice cream. This was the week of Feb 20-27th that we had ice cream so I would assume it is still there. I do remember it being a bit expensive (i think around $4) you had to ask the CM at the register for a cup so unfortunately there were no cones. Again this was the week I was there about a month ago so it may have changed since then.

Yep, that's where it was in August, 2009 too.

I've stayed at POR twice and CBR twice. (along with Coronado twice). We are going back to CBR. I prefer the feel of this resort and also the location. The atmosphere just seems a little different..somehow it puts a little more spring in my step. Although, I will miss the "make your own pasta dish" from POR so maybe we'll take a skip over to get it:)

Wooohooo! 40 days to go until our first stay at CBR!!! :goodvibes

Quick question - our last morning we are going to head out for a Lilo & Stitch Breakfast at the Poly. We will probably leave CBR around 7am, will we be able to have bell services pick up our luggage and store at the customs house that early until we return? We probably won't come back until around noon, then I'm guessing ME will pick us up around 230pm for our 530pm flight out of Orlando. That sound about right? Just wanting to confirm if we're ok planning to store our luggage that early in the AM, and if they will come to us to pick it up.

-Or - another thought - what is the possibility of getting a "late" check out? Say, around 1pm or so???

Thanks!! SOOO EXCITED!!!!

I don't know definitely so hopefully others will reply, but I would think that bell services could pick up your luggage & hold it for you until you are ready for M.E. bus. 3 hours is about right for pick up time.
I doubt you could get a late check out for 1pm. Plus, if you won't be in your room anyway might as well let bell services hold your bag incase another family is trying to get into your room.
Hope you have a blast...so sad to think of your last day already:headache:
