Caribbean Beach FAQ Part IV

Wooohooo! 40 days to go until our first stay at CBR!!! :goodvibes

Quick question - our last morning we are going to head out for a Lilo & Stitch Breakfast at the Poly. We will probably leave CBR around 7am, will we be able to have bell services pick up our luggage and store at the customs house that early until we return? We probably won't come back until around noon, then I'm guessing ME will pick us up around 230pm for our 530pm flight out of Orlando. That sound about right? Just wanting to confirm if we're ok planning to store our luggage that early in the AM, and if they will come to us to pick it up.

-Or - another thought - what is the possibility of getting a "late" check out? Say, around 1pm or so???

Thanks!! SOOO EXCITED!!!!

Well, yes Bell Svc. will store your luggage for you, but if you are doing airline and you are not doing carryon luggage, the express airline check in can go on and check your bags for you. Once you have that done, you can go on and do what you'd like for the day until its time to meet ME. But for morning, I'd allow for 1 hour or more at the Custom's House to get all the luggage and airline check in done, because there a lot of people planning to do the exact same thing. Then I'd head over to the Poly. We had breakfast plans at 10:00 at the Poly 2 trips ago in Dec. and we had Bell Svc. pick us up at 8:00. I allowed for 1 hour for check in at airline check in and bell svc. and then 1 hour for travel to the Poly. I've never done a late check out so, sorry I'm not much help there. Hope that answers something for you.

35 days until our first stay at CBR! Just read a great review and I think it will be perfect for us! I am soooo excited!!! Can't wait to use that pool and venture around the resort!! :woohoo: Did I mention I was excited??!!

LookING at the dis review, video etc.. i convinced dd to try cbr. just hoping for free dining (keep your fingers crossed. we love por (stayed there 3 times in a row) but want to try something new.we have a couple days just relaxing at the resort and cbr just seems like a great place to be. have any of you stayed at por and cbr. do you think ill be disappointed in my choice of cbr ?

We have stayed at all the moderates. CBR remains our favorite, with POR at a close second. :goodvibes So I think you will enjoy CBR! The rooms are slightly larger and a bit brighter. And the theme is different of course. But other than that they are both similarly wonderful! Both have great food courts, great buses, great locations, beautiful grounds, and great pools. I do have to give the CBR pool a slight edge though with 2 slides and zero entry! :thumbsup2

Have a great time!

I just booked our family Disney trip for Sept at CBR!!! We have only stayed at Value and had a hard time choosing which Moderate to stay at. I am so excited!!!

I really wanted to say thank you for the info about CBR! and we are thinking to stay in CBR for Dec 2010!

Anyone know which buildings we could watch illuminations from? I heard you can watch them from the beach!:cool2:

We saw them from the beach at Martinique. We were walking over to OPR for a drink and stopped to watch on the beach chair that was there.

momof2disneyboys and justplaingoofy, thanks so much for you imput. i contacted my travel agent and we officially booked Caribbean beach for sept. we will be there for 9 days 8 nights:cool1:...seriously wish it was longer! i showed my sister and her husband the video from the dis...they want to go with us.

Just back from a 7 night stay at CBR!!! We absolutely loved this resort!!! I wanted to say thank you to everyone for posting such helpful information on this thread!!!:thumbsup2

Does anyone know where the laundry facilities are located at CBR. I understand they are situated in each "country" of the resort, but I'd like to know where.

We are debating whether to pack for 5 days and do laundry while there, or if it is too far, pack for 10 days and bring bags full of dirty laundry home!

They are near each 'countrys' pool area. Pack for 6 days, do laundry, and have a clean set of clothes for coming home! :thumbsup2

i have a quick question about shutters and the dining plan..i went on the allears website. you get am entree but it looks like the entree is just protien and you have to pay extra for the sides. were the sides included in the dining plan or did you pay extra/out of pocket for potato/veg? how did you like shutters? just wondering because we have reservations for shutters our first night.

Glad to hear that you had a good stay at the CBR. If you write a trip report, let us know so we can come over and read.

There are laundry facilities right beside the quiet pools in each resort village.

The basic dining plan table service meal consists of an entree which includes a side item, a dessert and non-alcoholic drink.
