did anyone notice on Pete's web blog that the tv in his Nemo room was FLAT PANEL.....

did they update the tvs???? :confused3:goodvibes

On the same video he had some pretty rough things to say about the pirate rooms and the mattresses. Has anyone stayed in a pirate room? I am booked in one of the rooms at the end of May/beginning June for 6 days so I am worried about comfort of the beds. Any feedback would be helpful.
Thanks

Yeah me too! I also noticed that the dresser it was on also was built up with the tv ports mounted in it. Do you reckon that those are only in Bldg. 32 or, since those were the last rooms refurbed or, is that a special room because it was Pete and they keep that room for special guests? We also were in Martinique 26 and we had the big bulky flat screen TV, I like the newer one better, it takes far less room on top of the dresser, which quite frankly I could use in those rooms. Just a thought.

Yes, our room (Martinique building 24) had the nicer flat panel TV as well and the input jacks were built into the cabinet. It gave us more room to put snacks on top of the dresser.

Does anyone know about the Dining Plan.

I was thinking about getting the Quick Service Plan. We are staying at CBR in July and was wondering do you get an entree and dessert for each credit?

Does the Quick Service include everything on the menus at OPR?
or are the certain foods that are part of the Dining Plan?

Anyone know what kind of desserts that have that are included?

You do get an entree, non-alcoholic drink and dessert with one counter service credit at the CBR food court. As far as I know, everything served in the food court is eligible for the dining plan.

When we were last there (August, 2009), the desserts (that I can remember) were key lime pie, carrot cake and chocolate cake. A castmember let my daughter get fresh fruit as a dessert. My son was also able to get something from the fresh baked items as a dessert.

I don't think you can get the large pizza (or pizza delivery)on it though, but you can get the individual pizzas.

many times we've substituted our desserts for fruit. (then put it in our fridge for breakfast the next day)..

We're doing the qsdp and staying at cbr. You also get 2 snack credits per night and a refillable mug. Although I'm sure we'll head over to Coronado because I think they have a fantastic food court (Peppers market) and a great value if you are on the qsdp.

Hi Again! Good to know! Thanks for the input. We can't wait. Only 38 more days!!

So, is this the case in all the rooms now? Or just select rooms?

Just a question regarding transportation...we have to go from the Caribbean Beach Resort to the Grand Floridian. We will have a rental car, but I'd prefer to use Disney's buses.

Does anyone know how to go from CBR to GF? About how long will it take? I heard 2 hours...seems like I should just use the rental car if it will take that long. Any suggestions?

I would take the bus to MK and then either monorail or boat over to GF...

The other option is bus to DowntownD, then bus to GF.

I prefer monorail or boats to buses, so I'd pick option one, but everyone has their own tastes :)

(You could bus to Epcot, get on the monorail there, but you'd have to change monorails at TTC to get on the hotel loop monorail; or bus to Epcot, bus from there to GF)

DTD is the opposite direction of GF from CBR...that's why I suggested the other options that might cut a little time.

My hubby, kids, and I didn't have any issues with the mattresses. I certainly didn't notice it while there, but maybe my mattress at home is bad, too?? :lmao:

Cool! Did you request a certain area?

No I havent should I :confused3 Do I just need to call into the resort to do that?

Is it hard to get connecting rooms or at least have your rooms "very" near each other? I want to stay at CBR next time, and I may need two rooms.
I think my DS would love it here!
