A bus question for the expert - do all bus stops cycle back to OPR before leaving the resort?

Some of the buses start at Jamaica and then go to -- Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, OPR, Trinidad North, Trinidad South, then out.

The whole loop takes about 7-8 minutes if you would happen to get on at the very first stop.

There is also an internal bus.

And a pool question. Is the childrens' pool and the main pool right next to each other? Thanks!

Yes, they are right next to each other, but they are separated by a fence.

yes the children's pool is next to the main pool.

I have pictures of the pirate themed rooms from last year (aug 09 trip) up on facebook if anyone wants to see them.

I can send a link directly to the album OR I can email some of the pictures to you.

the last page of the album I posted has some pics of the inside of Port Royale and one looking out towards the pool

Just had to post, I am so excited I was able to change my Bounceback offer for Free Dining from POFQ back to CBR!!!! So, we are booked for a Preferred Room 8/21/10 thru 8/29/10. We are so excited!!!

Any Changes or rooms in CBR let? I needed to know is that Trinidad South will have a pirates theme!

I booked a standard room but my agent (definitely less educated than posters here) through AAA said that some rooms are a 20-30 minute walk to OPR and the Main pool. Many posts contradict this, so can anyone tell me where you were located if you had that 20-30 minute walk? Thanks.

We were in pretty much the last building of south Trinadad and a leisurely stroll to OPR was about 15 minutes. At normal pace was about 8-10 minutes if that.

Holy smokes! It didn't take me that long to walk around the entire resort promenade! The promenade is 1.4 miles long. Old Port Royale is roughly in the middle of the promenade. So, even if you were in a building located at the furthest point of the resort, your walk will never be roughly half of 1.4 miles.

thanks for the info! our family are planning go to disney on October 2010! OH! One more thing! How to get the passes to all four disney theme parks!

jeany,

You made many posts about your excitement for staying at CBR for your birthday trip that was this month, did you get to go, how was it?

Our March trip is getting closer and closer. What building should we request? It is me, DH, DD15 and DD12. Can you request a building, then also specify location (such as up/down stairs, corner, etc). There is so much to think about!

You can definitely request a certain building and then upstairs, downstairs, corner room, etc. Just make sure that, when you make your requests, they are in the order in which they are most important to you.

Thanks for all the tips. We went to DW last year for our first trip and we stayed at the ASMu, and then the last half of the week we were at POR. This time we are staying at CBR from Feb 1-Feb 6. It was nice to be able to learn a few things on this thread. We will have 3 kids with us DS 10, DD7 and DD 17 months. I am trying to figure out what area would be best for us to request, we don't want to have to walk forever to get to food/pool.
