jeany,

You made many posts about your excitement for staying at CBR for your birthday trip that was this month, did you get to go, how was it?
It's cancelled because I had the flu! That's why we cancelled that trip for January! Instead our family are going to celebrate Sophie's birthday in October! I hope you understand!

We can request a certain building? I didn't know that. I guess, I will request Martinque...I need one close to the food court... I am also hoping for a room on ground level. too much stuff to cart up the stairs:) I am gaining so much knowledge on here...Thanks for all the input:)

You certainly can make requests but remember that they are just that....requests.

Oh joy! Just another 9 months. :rolleyes1

If you want to be close to the food court and main pool you might want to consider paying for a preferred location.

OK...those may be answered here somewhere but I didn't read through all the pages so I am sorry if this is a repeat....

My first question is about the internet connection....each room has an ethernet cable to connect to...correct??? How much does it cost to use it???

My second question is about adjoining rooms...are they only on the first floor or also the second floor?? Thanks so mcuh for all your help!!!!!

only 2 DAYS until our first time at CBR.....CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!!:cool1:

Correct, there is a cable. It is $9.95 per 24 hour period. We've had adjoining rooms twice but both were on the 1 st floor. I don't know about the second floor. :)

Do you mean connecting rooms with the door between 2 rooms? Yes they are on the first and second floor. Adjoining does not have the door between the room.

Yes there is a cable hanging on the rod back by the sinkds.

What buildings are the Pirate rooms in? Are they in good locations or is it worth paying the extra for a Pirate preferred room? Thanks for the help! pirate:

The pirate rooms are located in the village of Trinidad South which is one of the furthest buildings from Old Port Royale. That being said, I walked over to the pirate rooms during our most recent stay just to have a look around. I timed my walk back to Old Port Royale and it was a 6 1/2 minute leisurely walk.

BTW, there is no such thing as a Pirate preferred room. The pirate rooms have a choice of standard, or water view costing extra.

I agree the walk from that area is about 6-7 mins. Many people don't like walking that far to go to main pool or food court.

That's too bad they most expensive room is the farthest away from OPR. Bummer! My kiddos really would like to try out one of these Pirate rooms. I guess we'll see what happens. Thanks for your help. :)

We just got back from the Pirate Rooms last week and they are cool! I did the walk to OPR a couple of times, but does take a bit (maybe 5 minutes?). I paid for a waterview and we were in Bldg 37. I have to tell you that I probably wouldn't get the waterview again. You look out at vacant land across the lake. I had a waterview in Aruba before and loved it because you look out towards OPR. We didn't have any problem catching busses to/from OPR from our room. You can just pop your head in any of the park busses that aren't full and ask if they are stopping at Trinidad South and they will let you tag along. I really like the bus stop at TS too, it seems much closer to the rooms than the other ones where you have to cross the parking lot.

thanks for the info! Trinidad North and Trinidad South is great! I can't wait to stay in Trinidad North on Oct 2010!
