That is exciting!!!!

I am going to buy a dress for myself online and I am not sure which size to get. I am right between 2 sizes...should I be optimistic or not?

Hmmmm, the dresses are on clearance, so only about $40...

Oh, and my mean husband lost more weight than I did without really trying...:duck: THAT JUST ISN'T FAIR!!!

I ordered a dress I wanted that only came in an 18..I am being really optomisitic but they didn't have in a 20. and it was on clearence for 30.00 so I took a chance...I figure even if I don't fit into it for the cruise..it will be nice to have for the future. I originally was going to order it in pink for my VR but then they ran out of them and now I got the black one.

That's always the way with men! My DH can lose weight at the drop of a hat!

I'm back on track the last few days. Exercising & keeping track of points. I went a bit over yesterday but still plenty extra left for the week. Now if I can just keep it up! You guys are an inspiration! Thanks! :cool1:

Well, I gained a little bit, but I deserved to. I was really bad this week, I starved myself because I knew that I had several dinners out with my staff etc. So my points were taken up by alcohol and nachos etc on 3 of the days! Then I felt really really sick last night. Stupid, stupid me. Oh well, so I am remotivated as i didn't deserve to lose weight. I also measured myself today so I can watch any inches too.

Go us, we can do it!!!! I just really would like to lose 10 pounds...I will try harder this week!

Well..today is kind of a bummer ..I gained .7 or something like that... it wouldn't be bad but I haven't really lost in the last 2 weeks and i really haven't done all that bad! :worried:

I know I misbehaved on Sunday for the BBQ but overall..i really have paid attention and stayed within my points..also..lots of water.

Oh well..normally today is my "cheat" day where I get a treat but that won't be happening this week! Onward and upward! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

:wizard: To everyone on their journey!

Remember folks, we didn't put this weight on over night, it takes time and a change in eating habits to take it back off. At least that's what I keep telling myself and this time it appears to be working.

Since we all like :cake: I thought I'd share a great recipe I got from WW that I still use. Just five points per serving! Only thing is that I do differently is that I use chocolate cake and sugar free chocolate pudding. Also, my oven makes the cake too chewy at 60 minutes, so I take mine out at 50. Enjoy!

CHOCOLATE CHIP BUNDT CAKE
Yield: 16 servings

Ingredients

1 serving cooking spray (5 one-second sprays per serving)
2 tsp all-purpose flour

18 1/2 oz unprepared yellow cake mix
3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding dry mix (I used sugar free variety)
8 oz fat-free egg substitute
8 oz fat-free sour cream
3/4 cup water
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1 Tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Coat a 12-cup Bundt pan with cooking spray, dust the inside of the pan with flour and set aside.

Combine cake mix, pudding mix, egg substitute, sour cream, water, oil and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer, mix on low speed for 30 seconds until dry ingredients are moist, about 30 seconds. Then mix on medium speed until batter is almost smooth, about 2 minutes; fold in chocolate chips.

Pour batter into prepared pan and level the surface. Bake until a wooden pick inserted near the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Allow to cool in pan on a wire rack for 20 minutes; invert cake onto rack and cool completely. Sift powdered sugar over cake just before serving; slice into 16 pieces.

:wizard: To everyone on their journey!

We all have those kind of days/weeks. There was a time a few weeks ago (month of April), where it seemed like my weight would not budge out of the same few pounds for almost a month. I was getting so frustrated. I was right on the brink of the next set of tens, and I kept teetering within the same 3 pounds....major plateau...
All of a sudden, it finally stayed off, and then the next 10 went really fast. I even did kinda bad on weekends, so I know my body was just fighting me. I have not been exercising as much as I should be, so I hope that 10 pounds was not muscle :(

I am hoping to hit my 40 pound mark this Friday at my WW WI. (I have put these 40 pounds in the last 2 years, so its just taking back off what I put on---and keeping it off this time.)
DH and I will also be putting in a new concentrated effort to start going back to the gym at LEAST 3 times a week until the cruise...maybe even adding in a night of running at the track as well. I would love to lose 11 more before the TOAL.

Oh, I was so proud of myself that I ran a mile without stopping last Friday night. All together I ran 4, walked 1, ran 1, walked 1, and ran the last 1 for a total of 2 miles (running a mile and a half of it). For someone who is NOT a runner, hates it with a passion, and has not done that since high school, I was very happy/surprised.

Good job! I hate running too!!!!

I am doing pretty good this week eating wise, but not exercise wise. I had a great plan about going to the Y, but it isn't working. I need to go earlier in the day, but my friend isn't a morning person and she doesn't have kids, so I don't think I will be able to convince her to go with me any earlier. I did lose another pound. I am half way to my 10% goal!

Congrats! I am so proud of you!

I would love to lose 40 by the cruise..we shall see..keep up the great work!

Some good news..the dress I bought in the size 18 arrived today. i knew it wouldn't fit but I was pleasantly surprised when it went on! Now..I still can't wear it as it doesn't fit perfect but it went past the hips and everything..about 10 more pounds and maybe a little Spanx..and I am there! So..maybe I have lost a few inches.

OK so my story is that I had a baby... She's special needs so everything is around her eating schedule so it's hard to go do stuff like exercise. Though I managed to get out and walk last year most days last summer , I haven't started that habit again this year. I've gone a few days with her on my back in the pack, but need to make it a habit! Also I was fine till I quit pumping (after 11mo, last November) for her and didn't change my eating habits at the same time  So my goal is to lose 10lbs and just tone up my body again. I miss how I looked before we got married when I was mountain/road biking almost every day. So I thought maybe talking to you guys would help keep me motivated to take her hiking every day. We have GREAT hiking trails and I need to use them!

Welcome! It is tough to give up those eating habits, but sounds like you're motivated. This is a great group & they are very encouraging. Good luck!

I actually gained 3lbs my first couple of weeks on Weight Watchers, but it was because I wasn't giving up my bad habit of drinking Mike's lemonades. Even though the lights are only 2pts a piece....I never stop at just 1, 2 or 3! :rolleyes1

Now the last couple of weeks, I've been very good about not drinking & I lost those 3lbs & a couple more! :yay: Now if I can just keep it up! :hyper:

Didn't anyone get you a child seat for your bike....? Take her with you...

Yeah I keep thinking about that or a trailer thingie, but I'm so scared something'll happen to her! I know that's probably crazy since people do it all the time... We're a bit paranoid with her after all we've been through with her :) It's been 2 years since I've really been on the bike. If I can work it in and start riding and build up my confidence again I'll think about that again :)

Wow, I decided that is my problem too...

Except I like wine and I have been a little crazy with work lately and my nightly glass of wine has turned into a few glasses this past 10 days and I paid for it in my weigh in this week. :)

UGH! This is much harder to stick to than I thought it would be, but I also had to give up working out the past 2 weeks, so I am double dipping in badness, too many points and no exercise!

OK thought I'd share... I got up super early when it started getting light outside and actually rode my bike! Boy I thought I was gonna die even before I had gone a block :lmao: :lmao: No idea how far I went though since my odometer seems to be broken :( It's only serving as a clock right now!

Wow good for you! I could never be that motivated! :thumbsup2

So today is my weigh in day & I'm down 3lbs from my starting weight a month ago. I actually when up 3 the first couple of weeks then I was down 3 last week & 3 this week. Not great, but it's a start! I'm doing weight watchers & I added Alli pills 2 weeks ago. I haven't had any horrific side effects which I've heard rumors about, but I don't know if the Alli is really helping or not since I also got serious about sticking very much to weight watchers & not even using all my flex points. Well I shouldn't say that, because I think the Alli does make me feel a tad bit gassy (sorry TMI) & that means I am not feeling exceptionally hungry so in that case it does help. Sorry rambling! Good luck everyone! :wizard:

It's the only time I can go biking and biking is the one thing I ever stuck to for any amount of time. I also tend to push myself more biking than hiking. I doubled my distance today over yesterday and had a hard time walking up the stairs when I got home :lmao:

Grats on losing some! It's a great start! I need to remember to weigh myself in the morning before biking...
