Cape Canaveral to WDW?

We're doing a Carnival Cruise before our WDW trip. Is our only/best option to our resort to take a cab from the cruise terminal?

Don't even think of taking a cab it is super expensive. The best option is a one-way rental car. They do not charge an extra fee for one-way rentals in Cape Canaveral. I rented a car from Hertz using CAA/AAA discount. It was $48 (for a compact car). The rental office in Cape Canaveral will pick us up from the ship terminal and shuttle us to the rental office. There are several rental companies that have offices in Disney. Hertz is at Shades of Green. When we turn in the car they will shuttle us to our resort.

It is a really easy drive from Cape Canaveral.

Thanks. I don't have AAA and don't know how much it would be without a discount... but whenever I've rented cars in the past its been a huge hassle - just bad luck, I guess. haha.
But its at least another option for us to think about!!

Check out a car service to get you back. You would be picked up immediately when you depart the ship and driven directly back to your destination. There would be no hassles involved. The price would run you about $150.00 from Port to WDW. Don't take a taxi as it will cost you close to $200.00 or more.
