Candlelight Processional

Now I'm thinking booking the last show (8ish?) with a 5ish time slot at Le Cellier. I presume IllumiNations doesn't go off until AFTER CP is over.

Yes Illuminations does not start until CP ends. It would ruin the whole feel of CP. You would not get the bet Illuminations spot, but we tend to like to walk and watch it.

If you do the dinner afterwards, you run the risk of being late for the show.

It happened to us, only once and it was OK - but we love to see illuminations.

I know some were given 7/31 for the CL dinner packages. I have been too, but I find it hard to believe they would release all of these on the same day, but one never knows with Disney!! Maybe because it's a different number to call for these. Who knows.

"2006 Food and Wine Festival ticketed events will go on sale at 7:00 am EST on July 31.

On that date, call (407) WDW-FEST (939-3378) and have your credit card ready.

These events are very popular and it is advisable to call immediately when the reservations open."

I want to do the CP package, but I also want to see the tree lighting (6 p.m.), so that means the late CP show... but then no good Illuminations spots are left! I think it's all too much to do for one evening. :)

Actually, if you watch the Tree Lighting ceremony from the WS side (I sat on a bench beside the gift shop on the Mexico side), then hustle yourself over there to CP, you can make it. I got to walk right behind the character bus both times which was really fun! You're in back of the stage, though, so you don't see the characters performing. You do get a great view of the tree lighting up though. I did this twice a few years ago.

I called Tuesday 7/18. A cm told me that the would start taking reservations on that day. Wrong. Tuesdays CM said mid August. Hoping For Le Cellier

The 8:15 show with dinner a LeCellers at 4:30 would be better and my reason for telling you this is Lecellers is a desaster with their reservations. Last year so many ADR's were screwed up or cancelled what a mess. Also their servers are slower then a snail.

LoveMicky: I'm confused. If dinner is after CP, which "show" do you mean the OP would be late for? Please explain! :sunny:

Or maybe I'm just thick-headed tonight!   It's the HEAT, I tell 'ya, the HEAT!

What tree lighting? Can someone explain this to me?

Each night around 6pm they "light" the Epcot tree. There is a little show with the Disney Characters around the treee. I think they turn on the lighted walkway near the tree as well (I can't remember what the name of the lighted archways are, sorry). I think that when booking the CP package, that there are certain dinning times that are available for each of the different CP shows. I remember the CM last year trying to explain it to me... all I wanted was an early seating for LeCellier and The CM said that I would have to do the second show. I can't wait for the release fo the the CP pkgs, that is the only thing I have left to do for our trip!

Thanks....now I have to figure out how I am going to fit THAT into my schedule as well.

Maybe a 4:30 CP at Le Cellier and the 8:15 show. This was we can see the tree lighting. We will have watched IllumiNations on another night, so if we don't see it again, no big deal.

Sweet Pea, we are also planning on doing the CP on 11/24. It is killing me trying to get all the "holiday" happenings into 2 days! (We leave on Sunday, the 26th) We really enjoyed the holidays around the World, last year. I want to try and do as many as possible, but I know dh will not enjoy a "comando" Christmas experience. Well, whatever we do get to do will be wonderful! We did the CP pkg last year and it was one of the highlights of our trip! I hope we get a good narrator.

Last year, we did a 4:00 CP at Le Cellier, then 6pm tree lighting (you're right there, but we didn't want to miss it, hence the 4pm ressie), then 8:15 CP-- except the CP part of the plan fell thru when DD got ill around 7:45.

Last year we did the 6pm tree lighting, then a 6:30pm dinner at Le Cellier and an 8:15pm CP - it worked out fine. The tree lighting is close to the Canadian pavillion.

How would one, see Candlelight, have a dinner package to eat, see the Tree Lighting and Illuminations all in one night?

My understanding is that by the time the last CP showing is over all the "good" spots for IllumiNations are taken.

Good point...so a 4pm ADR it is (hopefully!)
