Dh and I are going to Disney in December this year, and I really want to see the candle light processional. Is there a cost for this? I have tried calling for more information, but they are being very tight lipped. I was looking at a dinner package and there is about a 10-15$ more charge for the package versus paying for the dinner OOP.

Thanks in advance for you help!! Have a great night!!

There is no charge just to go and see it - though you will need to line up early to be sure to get in and have a decent seat. The dinner package gets you reserved seating. So, it is really more about what is more important to you - your time at disney or your money. To get a decent seat you are going to "waste" a lot of park time - not to mention your time eating if you do a table service dinner.. with the package you don't have to spend so much time in line AND at dinner.

We will also be there in December and want to see the processional. We tried twice to see it in the past, and we were in line at least one hour prior and we were unable to be seated, due to the crowd. This year we are buying the package. I am sure I read we can use two table credits for the package.

We purchased the dinner package and were so glad we did for peace of mind knowing we would get into the show. I think it depends on who is scheduled as the narrator and when you go. It is a wonderful performance. Don't miss it!

There is a watch thread on the Restaurants Board where people are posting and waiting for the list of narrators to be announced as well as the dinner packages to be released. You may get more information over there. Like a PP said, the show itself is free but does require you to line up quite a bit in advance to get seating. The dinner package does have an upcharge over what a normal dinner would cost at the participating restaurants but to us it is worth every extra penny to have a guaranteed seat without spending so much of our night in line.

Hello there! You will love the processional. I surprised DH and kiddos with it last year. Through our TA, I arranged a package that was for the first show, at 5:00 I believe. We had lunch instead of supper and it saved me some money. I paid OOP. Not all restaurants offer the lunch package (fyi.) We had about 2 hours between the meal and the show, so we spent some time shopping etc. We had no trouble locating a good seat and after watching people wait in LONG lines in years past, I am very thankful that I got the package. It was especially rewarding to see how much the processional impacted my DH, as his mom passed earlier in the year. The reserved viewing for Illuminations was great! I hope this helps with your decision in some way. Have a magical trip!

We did the Processional for the first time last year. It was worth the extra money. We got to the Processional 15 minutes before it started and it was nice to just walk in. The line was crazy long.

We also love the reserved section to see Illuminations. We met some wonderful people there and it was nice not having to stake out a spot hours in advance. I would definitely splurge on this again. :thumbsup2

We saw the processional in the week between Christmas and new Years. It really wasn't anything more exciting than the choral concerts from our high school. I was just a massed choir - when several different groups come together to sing. It was way below what I would have expected from Disney. Unless the narrator is someone you are excited to see, it was just nice.

We were very glad we had not blown a lot of money on a dinner package - we didn't have any trouble getting in. The people behind us were relatives of folks in the show and ran their mouths the entire time. We won't be doing this again. The Osborne Lights were spectacular, and I wish we had spent this time going back to see them a second night instead.
