Cancelled Reservation?

How long does it take after a reservation is cancelled for it to enter back into circulation? I have a reservation for 3 that I need to change to 4. Thanks!

i saw mine appear instantly upon refresh.. then it was gone upon next refresh... but in all fairness it was for Le Cellier haha

What I do in cases like that I usually cancel with Firefox but have already explorer ready to serach. Once I cancel with firefox, I press right away on explorer to search for that reservation and usually find it right away but keep in mind that you might loose that reservation and someone might grab it before you get to it. Also it might not be available as a reservation for 4 only for 3.

Why not call instead of doing it on line? I just called yesterday to change 2 dining ressies from 3 ppl to 4 (1900 Park Fare and an 815a Crystal Palace). Knowing the setup of tables at both of these restaurants, I thought it might be relatively easy to go from 3 to 4, and sure enough the reservation phone agent was able to up the # with no problem, even though the on-line system showed no availability.

Of course, going from 4 to 5 would probably be harder, or adding another person at a restaurant like Teppan Edo or the Biergarten (where you sit with other parties anyway)...but at most other restaurants a table for 3 is usually going to have 4 seats anyway

Absolutely do this first. It worked for me. I had a table for 5 and our party increased to 6. I called and asked if we could modify the ADR to 6 people. The CM checked and said yes. If you have odd number ADR (3,5,7) you most likely have a table that sits (4,6,8). Easy to increase the number. Not so easy going from 4 to 5.

Plus another way would be to try to book the table online for 4 at the same time and venue. If you are successful, during the confirm process, the system will know that you have the original ADR for 3. The system will prompt you to cancel the original and book the new for 4.
