Can you pay for alcohol (wine, cocktails, etc) with a Disney gift card?

We were thinking of putting our money for snacks/booze on a gift card for our trip, I don't want to pull out my debit card for everything.

I just want to make sure alcohol can be paid for with a Disney gift card? Like when I buy at kiosks at Epcot, or a glass of wine in a bar somewhere?

thanks!

There are some kiosks that cannot take cards at all. They will be unable to take your Disney gift cards.

Everyplace else inside the parks takes them for any purchase, including alcoholic beverages.

If you visit the Swan or Dolphin resorts, you cannot use Disney gift cards there.

Good to know about the kiosks. Perhaps I will put some money on the gift card and also carry cash.

Food and wine kiosks - do they accept gift cards, debit cards, cash only?

thanks again! :goodvibes

Food and Wine kiosks will accept cards, cash and charge to room. or at least they did last year.

Yes, and it's so much nicer than trying to deal with cash.

:)

At food and wine they actually sell reloadable mini giftcards with one of those plastic coil key chains to wear on your wrist. I usually just load my money on that for all the booths, that way there isn't a $5 charge every 30 minutes on my bank card :)

I just charge back to the room. It's a lot easier to charge with a magic band than it is even to use the wristband gift card (which you have to pull off so the CM can scan it)

Food and wine booths take the following in payment:

Cash
Credit or debit cards
Disney gift cards
Disney resort room charges
Disney Visa reward dollars
Dining plan snack credits

Agree with Nala! Use your MB at F&W, then pay your bill at checkout with the gift cards.
Easy peazy:earsboy:

Yes, we drank our way around Epcot last summer and all the kiosks took them. We liked it cause it wasn't money and we could keep up with how much we were spending rather than just keep charging it. Works better for us who budgets our drinking money, hahaha.

Charge all your beverages to your "room" and then when you check out pay with your gift card then..

that's what I've done before !

Have fun!
:thumbsup2
