Can we get stuffed in September? A Free QSDP PTR! Update 9/2!

I bought some bows on Etsy because they were too cute not to buy, but I'm not sure if I'll actually wear them or not. My hair is at a length where I can't figure out what to do with it and I don't know if I want to add a bow to the mess. :confused3

Hey - how were those pumpkin cheesecake cookies?! Inquiring minds need to know! :upsidedow

Haha, I totally get it! Girl problems, huh.

Haha, sorry, they were pretty good! Not quite OMG good, but not bad at all. I think DH liked them more than me actually.

Okay, finally remembered to continue my drinking around the world plans!

This time R decided we needed to take pics of all of our drinks so we can keep track/remember what we had. We tried quite a few last time, but none of us can remember what, haha.

So where-ever our lunch at Biergarten fits in we will have a litre o' beer... I might just share DH's at this point, more room for food!

Umm, let's agree to not talk about all the booze mixing that's going on here. Remember all the sharing I said I was doing?

In China I want to try the Canta-loopy, I've heard so many good things about it.

Although in '08 I had a plum wine and it was pretty delish, and not too big! Of course we'll visit the store here (reminds me of Chinatown here in Victoria, lol) and visit the mini warriors. DH may want to split the Tipsy Ducks in Love, and how can you deny a drink with a name like that? It's coffee, tea and whisky with chocolate and whip cream. It's probably because it makes you quack like a duck when you're done? And Tsing-Tao is good too! Who'd think China has some of the most interesting/delicious drinks? (No competition with France's slushies, but still!)

Italy will bring me a sangria. Well, I mean, I'll go to it and get it myself, but it might be served by a cute Italian ;)

At some point in this boozy quest I think I will recommend the long walk or boat ride back to FW because it'll likely be a nice time for an air conditioned ride with Ellen and her Energy Adventure. I didn't see this last time, and I hear it's not great, but I do like Ellen and if we decide we're going to power through this day without a break, it'll be a nice 45 minute in-park break.

We'll maybe return to Italy another evening to try a wine flight! They look awesome and a pretty decent value.

Umm... the US is... sad. I guess I will have a sip of DH's Sam Adams, it counts, right?

The guys were disappointed with the American Adventure, although DH did buy a nice Beckham soccer jersey for cheap there!

Japan is a good one though! They have some tasty beer here.

DSCN0610.jpg

Apparently they don't drink much in Morocco, but there are a few good sounding mixed drinks here. So we'll have a Sultan's Colada and hope we're here at the right time to meet some of our faves: Aladdin and Jasmine!

I think that's one of my favourite photos I took last trip!

It's a good thing this side of World Showcase has the next country or it would definitely be the boring half.

FRANCE!!! The one and only Grey Goose Slushy. Ok, I guess it can share the infamy with the Grand Marnier Slushy :thumbsup2 We might also grab a snack at the Boulangerie! I saw that cheesy bun in Dani's TR and I think it has my name on it!

Then it's off to the jolly ol' UK for a pint. We'll likely have a beer here unless I really want the creepy green Welsh Dragon!

DSCN0595.jpg

And then we come HOME!

These are literally all things you can see in my city :cloud9:

It's just unforunate they don't really have a great drink selection, I really wish the had Caesars! They're like an actually delicious bloody mary. So we'll have a beer!

It's likely that between the four of us we might skip a few of these countries, but we are hoping to stay for Illuminations tonight and it's one of my FP+s so I look forward to seeing what kind of view this gets us. There was one change to MY plans as we were booking our FP+s with our friends, Epcot will be our second day and MK will be our third morning. No biggie, I can handle change

And in case anyone is wondering, I got a lot of drink info from easywdw.com!

Upcoming updates: souvenirs I want to check out and possibly an outfit post, although I don't have enough cute Disney tops :(

I can't believe we're already at 11 days until we leave! :cheer2:

Good luck trying something in every country! I'd definitely recommend beer over the Welsh Dragon in the UK. I was not a fan of the latter!

I completely skipped the American Adventure on my Drinking Around the World adventure. Sam Adams just doesn't do it. I want to try a Tipsy Ducks In Love based on the name alone, but the contents? Blech. Maybe I can convince my friend to get it and I'll have a sip.

I printed out drinking passports to keep track of everything. They're super cute. We'll see how my handwriting holds up...

This trip will be my first concerted effort to drink around the world - should be interesting!

I can't believe you're at 11 days!!!! SOOOOO close now!

Yeah, the Tipsy Duck sounds interesting to say the least, with the coffee and tea, maybe it should be a breakfast drink, haha. That'll be a good way to follow the path of drinks, how your handwriting looks :rotfl2:

Maybe we'll just have a funnel cake instead of a sam adams ;)

Yeah, this is our first real TRY, that or just none of us remember it from last time

I know! I woke up this morning like :hyper: because it's only one week of work left! But then I was like :faint: so much work to do this week!

Your plans to drink around the world sound super fun! The different drinks sound exciting. I would love to try it but I don't drink much at home so I feel like Epcot would be a bad place to start :rotfl2:

Haha, that's smart! Maybe just pick a couple you'd like to try.

We're pretty good drinkers, whatever that's supposed to mean. But we're really good at knowing our limits and neither of us like to get really drunk, so I think a lot of this is hopeful thinking, not actually what will happen! We will likely share a lot and skip a few countries too.

Wow! 5 more sleeps until we leave! I don't really have anything to update.

I have been looking for a neckstrap for my point and shoot camera because I think I'll take more photos if I don't have to keep getting it out of my bag. But apparently I'm the only dork who would want that because they don't really seem to exist. I will try one more store today, and then give up.

Otherwise I think I'm done all of my pre-trip shopping!

Here are my outfits that I'm packing:

20130821_204100.jpg

Of course I'm bringing more tops than this, but I only have six pairs of shorts. I have a TON of summer dresses, but most of them aren't really comfy for theme park wear I don't think.

I will obviously wear my Ewok outfit to DHS. I think I'll wear the one below it with the orange shirt (it has a cute criss-cross back) to AK with my Nemo bow. I'll wear the orange and pink combo to MK because it's fun and BRIGHT. Then I'll wear the lacy eggplant tank and black shorts to classy Epcot. That leaves the green top and the purple tank for Universal and mystery day 6! And a couple dresses for the nights.

And then I need a few more outfits for my multitude of travel days. Bah. I'm never sure what to wear on the plane! I actually have one more pair of shorts, bermuda length, so I think I'll wear those with a tank top and a light hoodie. And then for the way home I'll just wear whatever I have leftover!

Also, a question: our planes won't have tvs :scared: so what should I do to entertain myself? Read? Play cards? Bring a coloring book? Haha. Help!

Are you guys all getting excited for your trips?!?!?!

Ahh, we're both so close!!! I love the pattern of your purple top! And obviously the Ewok shirt is fabulous.
I always dress on airplanes as if I'm going on an Arctic expedition lol. I always get so cold! No matter when/where I travel, I never wear shorts or jeans. Usually leggings. I like to be warm and comfortable!
On plane without TVs, I load up my Kindle Fire with TV shows and read (a mix of magazines and books). If the flight is early, I put in headphones, listen to music, and try to at least close my eyes for a time. Can you bring a laptop with DVDs? That's what my boyfriend does!

I love your ewok shirt and that blue dress is adorable!

I need to figure out what all I'm taking and packing. We just hit the one month mark and time is going to FLY.

As for airplane entertainment, I don't usually buy magazines, but it's a fun splurge for a plane ride. A magazine or a book. Or I bring a cross stitch project or some other form of handsewing. And music - iPod is a must!

I always try to dress warm on planes too, but it always feel goofy arriving in Orlando to 90 degrees.

I only have a regular e-reader, but I'm definitely bringing that. I'm too lazy to heft my laptop and also my battery sucks, I need to upgrade!

Thanks! Yeah, the last month has gone by so fast!

I sometimes buy magazines for flights too, but they just always make me remember why I don't bother buying them at home, haha. I thought about bringing some crocheting, but it's hard to find a project that is big, but compact!

Music of course!
