Can we get stuffed in September? A Free QSDP PTR! Update 9/2!

Yay ME paperwork! :cool1: Since you booked a package, I believe there's another packet that comes as well or so my travel agent says. We've never booked a package before so I can't be certain. But I think you get like decorative luggage tags, vouchers and such.

That notebook is adorable!

Your Epcot plans sound fun! I'm with you on Soarin'. It just isn't one of my favorites.

My only suggestion would be to skip the movie after Maelstrom :lmao:

New reader following along! Your plans sound great so far!

Some recommendations for Universal:
-Definitely try to ride The Mummy & Men In Black, both are really fun!
-You might want to check out the Transformers ride, it just opened and I've heard good things about it!

Also I love your Monsters University notebook and hope you get to see it soon!

My mom and I have watched a ton of Disney movies this year and one that became a favorite is 101 Dalmations, so that's my vote for your 6th movie :)

Okay, I thought I'd get another package too, but last time I THINK it all came at once.

Oh yeah, of course no movie at Maelstrom... but I do like the Canada movie!!!

Hi! Thanks for joining in. Love the tips for Universal, thanks, I read that Transformers is new and really busy, so we will try and get to that one right after we get to the Despicable Me ride :thumbsup2

I THINK/HOPE we'll watch MU tonight. I will report back!

Ooh, 101 Dalmatians is one of the few videos I had as a kid, so I definitely loved that one growing up. Nostalgia :)

Hi! I followed you over from my pre-TR, I'm glad you found me!

You and your DH are so cute!

Yeah!!! Finally watched Monsters University. It was really cute! I liked Archie the pig  It wasn't really as funny as I was hoping it would be unfortunately, but I did like Art! The dean made me think of Harry Potter :teacher:

Also, apparently there is going to be a Disney made-for-tv movie filmed about an hour away from my city. It was in the paper this morning. Exciting stuff, huh.

Yay for seeing MU! Archie the pig was cute! I was gonna buy his stuffed animal at the Disney store the other day but I let my sister talk me out of it for some reason :confused3

That's pretty cool about the movie being filmed near you. I wonder if it's like one of the Disney channel movies (which by the way totally used to be awesome but the new ones, not so much!)

Yeah, it's probably one of the new lame ones

Ooh, a stuffed Archie? Cute!!

Three comment mini-update:

1. I can't believe I missed Club Cool in my Future World plans! :faint: We will definitely be going there.

2. Are you guys afternoon break people? We usually are, and like to go back and lay by the pool for an hour or two and take a dip, and sometimes a nap. I mentioned in my Epcot day though that it might be the one day we skip taking a break because there's so much stuff to do, and once you're half way around WS, it seems silly to go back then! DH used to always be an afternoon rest kinda guy, but last time we were in Disneyland, on our third day, we were at the front of DL, and were going to head to the hotel, but he suggested we go to DCA and do the Animation Academy and get a drink at the Grand Californian instead. So he might have turned into a commando without me even trying! :yay:

3. It's raining here today! Pouring actually, and it hasn't rained since June, which is really unusual for my area. This weekend is a long weekend, so we're taking an extra day off and heading down to Seattle with some friends for a Mariners game and some outlet shopping. I'm sure I'll buy some Disney trip related stuff, so I'll show you all when I get back!

I'm not a big afternoon break person in most scenarios. I'm still mostly on the park commando side, but it's partly because I don't get to WDW all that often and want to soak up as much as I possibly can. I do use sit down ADRs and shows and such as rests though.

That said, on some days that have a really early morning and/or a really late night, an afternoon break is perfect. We have one scheduled on our MNSSHP day so we have time to relax, maybe swim, get ready for the party and then have the energy to stay out late.

We are definitely break people! We get to the bus stop an hour before the parks open, stay until 2 or 3, go back to the hotel, relax, freshen up for dinner, and then stay out until the parks close. There's no way we could do that if we didn't break! Maybe we could do one dawn to dusk day, but definitely not everyday. I not only need a bit of a rest, but I like to change my outfit and not be sweaty for dinner.

We didn't take afternoon breaks on our first trip. Then, we went in January and the last few days were hot (which we weren't used to!) So I think the last 2 days we did go back to the hotel for some rest. For September, we're gonna play it by ear. I know it's going to be WAY hotter than we're used to so if we feel we need it, we will!

Yay for outlet shopping! Hope you have a great weekend! :cheer2:

Yeah, I think I always want to keep going, but my body/brain says 'break'! But stuff like Ellen's Universe of Energy could be a good in-park break.

I agree about needing to freshen up and change especially in the heat. I think there are only two nights when we're there that the parks are open until 12, the first few nights are 9ish, so that'll help us not get too worn out at the beginning.

I think as the trip goes on you get more tired. I find that our breaks are short the first few days and then get longer as the time goes on. I was just re-reading my last Disneyland trip report, and I was shocked by how much time we spent away from the parks. It feels like we did so much, but we took a lot of breaks. One morning we didn't even get to DL until 10:45, then we only rode the Matterhorn before noon! Crazy.

Thanks! You inspired me with your cute Coach purse, so I will definitely check out their store.

Now I just have to sit around and wait for tomorrow  I was going to go to yoga in the park, but it's sprinkling here :( And I was going to wash my car before the road trip, but same goes. So I will pack and clean the house, and meet a friend for a coffee instead and hopefully go to bed early. Guess I should make my coffee a decaf! DH is out at a bachelor party tonight so I hope he will feel rested enough by tomorrow morning, but I guess he can sleep in the car on the ferry.

Other blabber: I think I need to get a new laptop soon :( My two "mouse" buttons aren't working very well anymore. It's not a big deal, just for highlighting things, but I'm keeping my eye out for a deal. I guess I could just attach a regular mouse to it, that would work. It's five years old though and I haven't had any other problems with it, so I can't complain too much.

Came home from Seattle to find some more Mickey Mail! Luggage tags and coupons

Had a great trip! The baseball game was really fun, it felt like there were more Jays fans there than Mariners fans.

We had great seats:

We got there early, it was almost completely full with the exception of the third tier in the outfield.

And I got a view of a Tower of Terror look-a-like!

Did a bunch of shopping, but nothing too Disney-ish.

Coach outlet bag :)

and a whoooole bunch of American treats and cheap wine!

I'm busy tomorrow, but will be back for a real update on Thursday!

YAY for the rest of the Mickey Mail! :cool1:

You guys look so cute for the game! Glad you had a great time.

I love the bag you got! Such a nice color! And all those snacks, yum!

Thanks! It's a bit more bright than my usual black purse, and a bit smaller, yikes, but I like it :) Yup, just ate some coconut almonds right now. It was nice to have a little vacation before our big vacation.

Yay for more Mickey mail. Glad you had fun at the game. Those were great seats.

wait. There are pumpkin cheesecake cookies?! I really need to find those STAT. (or maybe I really don't .... could be dangerous...)

You had great seats for the game - we're big Detroit Tigers fans and try to get to a few games each season. Seems like we might be able due to go actually!

Glad you had so much fun in Seattle! Ummm, there are pumpkin cheesecake cookies that I didn't know about?! MUST FIND THOSE!
