You had great seats for the game - we're big Detroit Tigers fans and try to get to a few games each season. Seems like we might be able due to go actually!

I haven't had one of the pumpkin cookies yet, but I did bring some to work, so I will try them after lunch!

I'm pretty sure our last trip had AK as our last park too. I remember being a bit grumpy there, but maybe I was tired because it was our fourth day and AK always feels like so much walking and extra-hot.

Anyway, we will definitely go to Kilimanjaro Safari first. DH will take a bajillion photos again. He's the animal lover in this relationship I will try and be patient!

And of course we'll head to Everest next to ride and also pick up a FP.

From there we'll head to Dinoland and get freaked out by that dang Dinosaur! We look so happy here, we had NO idea what was in store for us, haha.

I really want to see the Flights of Wonder show this time since we didn't do it last time. So that will be a nice relaxing stop after the big three rides.

I also definitely want to find a time to watch the Finding Nemo show and wouldn't mind FOTLK either.

We'll check out some trails (DH's other favourite thing at AK) and I'll want a jalapeno cream cheese pretzel for a snack!!

Lunch will either be at Flame Tree BBQ or Yak and Yeti CS, depending on our moods.

To finish off the day we will watch ITTBAB and hit up Kali River Rapids to get soaked before we head back to Pop for an afternoon break.

I wouldn't mind checking out Rafiki's Planet Watch if we have time and energy.

I find AK to be a more laid back park. It's a lot of walking around and checking out the animals than going from one ride to another. However, that also means there's a lack of AC! It is really beautiful though and I find I learn a lot there, especially about all of the interesting things Disney does differently from other zoos.

Oh. Em. Gee. We got to choose our magic bands colours today!

I know a lot of people are torn on it, but I'm into it! It was a toss up between pink and red, but I settled on pink. Why is there no purple? Then it would have been an obvious choice! DH went with green.

The first park we went to on the last trip, DH forgot his card. Well, he didn't think he needed to bring his "hotel key" because I had mine. Sigh. We teased him, so he'll never forget it again, but it's because of people like him that they made these!

Also, I can choose FP+s. I'm going to wait and do this when we meet up with our friends on Sunday so we can discuss it and book them all together. I'm not sure that we'll get to use regular FP anymore by then? I don't think I'm part of a test, just part of the roll out. So that would be a bummer, but change happens whether we like it or not and we will adapt.

I browsed the FP+ pages today, and it seems like everything is available. The ones I think we'll choose are:

DHS: TSMM, ToT and RnRC
MK: Space, Splash and Little Mermaid or Big Thunder?
EPCOT: Test Track, Soarin' (even though I don't really like it!) and Spaceship Earth
AK: Kilimanjaro Safari, EE and Kali Rapids

I don't think we'll bother booking shows or fireworks etc. unless there is some reason to do so that I'm missing?

Any advice you have would be lovely. 20 days!!!

I'm down with the Magic Bands. I'm torn on FastPass Plus. I know the past two years, the only thing I ever actually needed to FP was Toy Story Mania. Everything else was just a walk on. I guess it'd make more sense in busy times.

That's true. I went in September before, and I'm going again. I remember last trip we walked into MK just after rope drop, turned left off the hub and went around the whole park riding whatever we wanted in order, we didn't have to wait very long for anything and didn't bother getting fps unless it was something we wanted to ride again later. Maybe I was just tainted by first-timer views though, haha.

For FP+, the only recommendation I'd say is I don't think a FP+ for the Little Mermaid at MK is necessary. It was a walk on all day when I was there on a very busy day in June.

That's what I thought because it's usually a walk on at DCA, but Big Thunder never has a very long wait either, but it is a better ride in my opinion so I suppose it makes sense to do that. Pirates and HM never have a long wait. MAYBE I'd get one for the fireworks? Since I don't like waiting around

I logged into MDE yesterday and got the notification about Magicbands and FP+ too. I'm still not sure if we're gonna be able to use regular FP still or not. I thought it was part of the official roll-out but not all of the resorts are involved?

I was convinced it was a glitch for a bit but I called Disney last night (and didn't have to wait on hold AT ALL ) and the CM asked when I was checking in and told me to be sure to schedule my FP+ since we'll be using it and to customize my Magicbands whenever I was able to (cause right after I got the notification I wasn't able to yet).

Did you have parades/fireworks as options? I only had Illuminations as a choice on weekends and nothing for MK. I probably wouldn't trade major rides for parades/shows/fireworks but there's one night that we're going to the MK specifically to watch MSEP and Wishes so I would've liked to use it for that.

Quick update today. We are home from a wedding up-island and we're exhausted! We had a nap, but I'm having trouble waking up. We're off to dinner with our Disney friends and then we're going to select our FP+s and watched Disney Unwrapped. I will try not to fall asleep

I've seen a ton of Disneybounding bows on the dis lately, so I thought I'd try my hand at making a few of my own. I'm not 100% sure they're my thing, but I do think the turned out well!

Thanks! I read that on your PTR, sounds like a cute idea! I wear my hair down a lot, so that doesn't really work with the bows, but it would with the ears.
