Can someone explain

Cricuts and Cuttlebugs to me? I have no idea what they are, what they do, etc. I'm very new to scrapbooking, but would love to know more about these - are they easy, worth it, etc? Thanks!

Cuttlebug is a non-electric die cut and embossing unit. You can sometimes find it on sale for 40% off. There are some great embossing folders, that you put your cardstock in and then you put it through the rollers and it will emboss the design onto the paper. I got mine a couple of years ago at a 50 off sale and oick up folders when they are on sale or I have a coupon that I can use.

Cricut is an electronic die cutting machine. I got the expression model last year for Christmas and love it. The machine generally comes with at least one cartridge. The cartridges can be pretty expensive, the larger craft stores like M's and acm run good sales around Thanksgiving. M's was open Thanksgiving night and they were a great price. There are also many sites that you can get the machines and the cartridges for great sale prices. I couldn't find the storybook cart at Thanksgiving time and found it online at custom crops for a great price.

You can check out the cricut site for ideas. I love being able to cut letters for my pages and school projects. I am going to order the new Easter cart at cricutmachine for a birthday gift unless I can find it cheaper around here.

jrsmom ... check out www.scrappersmusthaves.com for the Easter mini cart ... it's a bit cheaper, their shipping is reasonable and they ship quick. They also have a bundle with the 3 spring minis. I started out buying just 1 of the winter minis and then couldn't resist buying the rest. This time around I'm going to buy the bundle and save a few bucks.

And for the Cricut question ... if you're really into scrapbooking and paper crafts it's a must have. When I first starting scrapping I spent a small fortune on letter stickers and embellishments ... now I spend that money on Cricut cartridges but at least you can use them over and over again.

I've made a couple purchases from ScrappersMustHaves. Mostly for preorder stuff, so I can't say anything about their shipping of in-stock items. I haven't had any trouble with them though.

Yes, I have purchased from scrappersmusthaves ... bought the Christmas mini carts individually and just got Forever Young from them. I was very pleased with their service. Got all my carts within a week.
