Read somewhere that this is the better way to go. If so, and we stay at MK until midnight, will the monorail take us back to Epcot or would it be too late and not stop back there? We are going tomorrow (Friday, April 4).

So, can someone explain to me in "Parking at MK for Dummies" terms exactly what steps are involved in parking at TTC and entering MK. (Have never done this before). I want to figure out how much time to expect it to take so I can figure out when to arrive and be there in time for a decent spot in line at Rope Drop.
I don't know why it would be better,if you're park hopping to Epcot after MK it would make total sense but if you're only doing MK I don't think it will get you there faster. You still have to take the monorail to the TTC(MK parking lot)and then transfer monorails to the MK.Parking at the TTC is not fast either but I think it's faster as you only have a short tram ride followed by the monorail to the MK.If your plan is to stay at the MK until midnight with no plan to do Epcot I would just park at the TTC,if you're lucky you might even get a spot close enough to walk to avoid taking the tram only needing to do a monorail ride to actually get to the MK.

There is a large body of water separating the parking at the TTC to the MK. You will either have to take the ferry or a monorail to get to MK.
You have 2 choices of monorail, resort or express. The express monorail only goes between TTC and MK and does not stop anywhere else. The resort monorail stops at the Poly, the GF and then MK (on the way to MK).
Depending on how your timing works out, it can take anywhere from less than 10 mins (on express monorail) to about 20 (on the ferry).

It's really not that difficult. There will be CMs who will direct you to your parking spot. Then you walk to the end of the row and wait for the tram that will take you to the TTC (or, if you are close enough, you just walk to the TTC). Once at the TTC you board either the ferry or the monorail that will deposit you outside the gate to MK. It shouldn't take more than 30 min. to do all this, provided it isn't a high crowd day.

It probably takes 20-25 minutes from when you park to get to the MK.The TRC is essentially the MK parking lot.You park,if you're lucky to be up close you can walk to the TTC,if not you take the tram and from the TTC you either take the monorail which is usually fastest or the ferry boat. You will see three monorail lines at the TTC,the express only goes back and forth between the TTC and the MK,the resort monorail which stops at the TTC,MK and the three resort hotels and the Epcot line which only goes back and forth between the TTC and Epcot. So to get to the MK you would take the express monorail which is the fastest although you can take the resort monorail if you wanted to.
