
I rented last year before buying and I did call MS to check on my reservation on a few occassions. I had never rented before and this gave me some peace of mind!
They would confirm my name, dates of arrival and at what resort. They would also confirm magical express info and the dining plan.

Officially MS "MEMBER" Services will only talk to members, but it really just depends who answers the phone when you call. If you get a CM that won't answer your questions just wait a while and try again. You can call the resort 2 weeks before your arrival, any sooner and they won't have your reservation.When renting someones points for a Disney Vacation Club stay, can I call to verify the reservation? I have the letters from the DVC, but I want to make sure everything is set!!
It's too bad dvcmember.com doesn't have a method where you could type in a reservation number and the owners name to have a quick confirmation pop up. True this would be most useful to renter's but I'd like the peace of mind myself knowing that the reservation is set up in the system the way I expect it to be. That way I wouldn't be surprised when any weirdness comes up like it did when I checked in on New Year's Eve only to initially be told my reservation was for one day.
