I've been planning on sharing with DS7 a lot because quite frankly, a lot of the kids CS menu's suck! If there is something good that he wants, fine, but there are so many places that have awful kids menu's. Like no pizza at pizza places, only mac and cheese and uncrustables at other's, ugh. That just won't work. I just looked back over menus for most of the CS places and honestly, I think I'll wind up with tons of children's CS credits left and having to pay OOP for adult meals for him. No way will he eat pnut butter while we have pizza!

So can anyone confirm whether or not they have seperated the CS credits? I've heard conflicting reports. WE leave on 8/28! Thanks!

Children and adults do have different pools to choose from. That being said, in pizza places the meal (An individual pizza combo) is the same for adults & children. I know this for sure because I asked the cashier at AK Pizzafari back in April. I was miffed that my daughter didn't have the option of pizza. The CM told me that lots of people don't know this & she hears about it all the time. The same goes for Toy Story pizza in MGM and Pinnochio Village Haus in MK.

We leave 9/15 and I would like to know as well. I'm thinking we will just use our child credits for B'fasts for them in the am as they love Mickey Waffles and can just share our CS lunch with us as the choices are just awful except at Toy story Pizza planet and a few other places they can get an adult meal. It isn't even like they are healthy choices just bad choices!

I keep hearing they are and they are not, I wish that someone who just got back would confirm.

I don't want to "cheat" the system, but in the past, we would order two meals and share amongst the four of us. My two girls eat like birds and it was still too much food. I don't want to blindly go along ordering meals to be told on the last few days that all I have left are kids meals. I realize that the key cards are marked, but are the credits truly divided?

I'd like to know too. If DH and I eat at one CS place and the kids want to eat at Pizza Planet am I going to have to explain that the meals I am ordering are for the kids and they therefore need to subtract credits from the kids CS credits. If they are pooled then it isn't going to matter the kids CS will just come out of the total pooled CS credits.

So, I can order the pizza meal for my DD at Pinnochio Village and it's a child CS?

Thanks!

Is this now true at Pizza Planet in the Studios? Traditionally this place only had one menu for both adults and children.

Pizzafari has separate menus and there is no pizza option on the child's menu (because all the pizzas are the same size and they don't have a reduced portion pizza). I don't know about Pinocchios but I think if you pick a pizza place other than Pizzafari you should be able to get pizza for a child's credit.

Birds can eat as much as twice their weight in a day. They need energy to fly. ;)

I'm curious too, because my mom and I are thinking on our Epcot day that we'll get Mexican or Moroccan and get the kids Refreshment Port McD's if they don't want to try whatever we decide on.

Ha ha ha, I though of that after I hit submit! Anyway, you know what I mean...I hate to waste food, at home or anywhere else!

We returned from WDW last Sunday (8/12) and were on the dining plan. The adult credits and the child credits were listed seperately. Where there was a childrens menu available, our kids had to order from it. If there was no children's menu available then they could order anything that was listed. All members of our party could access all the credits, both adult and child, at anytime. We didn't eat in Pizza Planet, so sorry I can't answer that one!:)

Where did you see them listed separately? On your card or on your receipt? When you ordered a CS meal and it was subtracted from your total - what did your receipt show?

Tammy

I am sorry to hear that they are separated now. We were there from 6/25 - 7/7. When we were there only the table service credits were separated. The counter service were pooled.

Does your receipt show how many kid's and adult CS meals you have left over? If I remember correctly, the TS receipt does. So, if we are 2A and 1C, and I am ordering in Pizza Planet for DD4 and I, do I tell them 1A meal and 1C meal, or just 2 meals? It would make no sense just to tell them 2 meals. How would they know where to deduct it?

Pizza not on the child's menu at t a pizza place has baffled me. Most kids that I know love pizza. I know we plan on hitting at least one of these places and if pizza is not available on the DDP for my DS, then I will have to pay OOP and have left over child CS credits.

Sophie's Mom, I think you may be thinking of the table service credits, they are divided that way.

I completely forgot that my friend did the dining plan just last week. I called her to ask her to check her receipts and sure enough, the counter service credits were still pooled just like they were when I was there last. The particular one that she showed me had 2 adult table service, 2 child table service, and 5 counter service credits left.

So apparently, the counter service credits are still pooled.

I guess there is a chance that they have changed things between my friends visit and Sophie's Mom's visit. My friend returned home on the 8th of August.

Elbow642 - you are correct. On the receipt it shows only the TS seperately, not the CS. However, at one point we thought we had an issue with how many TS we had used so we went back to our resort and asked for a print out. Sure enough they had the children's CS counted out seperately from the adults. We asked the CM if the CS were pooled and she said that although they showed that way on the receipt, that you would not be able to use a child's credit for an adult meal where there was a childs menu available. So I don't know if there really is a way for them to know the difference or she was just re-interating back to me the "rules" of DDP. And since we did not try to "mix" the two - I'm afraid I can't tell you how it would have worked out!

If you go to a any CS place, they have a childrens menu that offers PB&J uncrustables, QUesadilla, chicken fingers & fries, etc. You have to order from the children's menu for your child. If you order from the adult menu, they'll subtract a CS credit. The only exception is is pizza places that serve "individual" size pizzas. Those aren't listed on the children's menu, but you can order one and use a another CS credit.
